UFC 114: Ryan Jensen vs. Jesse Forbes

Middleweights Ryan Jensen and Jesse Forbes set for UFC 114 matchup (Updated) | MMAjunkie.com

Why the fuck is Ryan Jensen still in the UFC? I honestly can't find any reason why he should be. He "won" one fight out of 5, and even then, he benefited from a stupid referee that stopped the bout because he thought Steve Steinbeiss got choked out despite the fact that he showed no signs on that.

Really? Ryan Jensen? Again?

Why the fuck is Jesse Forbes still in the UFC? Isn't he like 0-100 in the UFC?
I'm pretty sure this is a "loser-goes-home"-fight.

Forbes is 0-2 in the UFC, but only 0-1 in his current run. His loss to Catone was split decision, and could have literally gone either way. He could easily be 1-1 in the UFC, unlike Ryan Jensen.

Ryan Jensen was 0-3 before his first "win", and then lost his last fight. Neither guy is UFC caliber, I agree, but Ryan Jensen really has no business being in the UFC after winning one fight in five tries.

And I was pretty sure Jensen was gone after losing to Munoz so don't be so sure this is a "loser goes home" fight because Jensen is still in the UFC after posting a 1-4 record.

Have you seen any of his UFC fights?

I've seen him "bring it" once, and that was in a loss to Wilson Gouveia.

Don't know why you guys are hating on Jensen, his first three fights in the UFC were against Leites, Maia and Gouveia. That is one of the toughest 3 fights ever to start a career in the UFC.

His other losses are from Munoz, Larson and Villasenor. Hardly bums. His first professional fight was against Fulton in '97 in which he won. Give the guy a break.

Good post, actually.

Maybe this is the reason (that I couldn't think of) why they've cut him such considerable slack. I hadn't thought of that, only the losses. He stepped in against Gouveia on short notice, too (which is the reason why I think Forbes is getting another shot).

Normally he would've been gone after losing to Munoz but Dana said everybody from UFC 108 was safe because of all the injuries and pullouts thewy had on the card.
