Another idea for a show, not tuf, is to take athletic dudes who has never fought or even trained disciplines for mma before and see how far they can get with top training in a short amount of time. Obviously no ufc contract for the winner but a handsome cash prize could make for an interesting show. It would probably be ugly as hell, but so were the first few ufc's and they were as fun as anything to watch.

I agree with you completely TS. When the show 1st came out, it was original and fresh. But now it's just like the real world on MTV. You're just watching the same crap over and over, and no one too impressive is coming out of it lately. Time to make a change Dana!

That would fail, epically so. The (original) purpose behind TUF was to bring in and groom future UFC talent. Need for drama-induced ratings have made watching it rather un-bearable these days, but that's still the main reason behind the show.

Not to mention, I've no desire to see people who don't know shit about training for MMA on television - I find enough of those on here.

Wait, that's right, the world would be subjected to more of Bisping speaking.

TS is correct - TUF is played-the-Hell-out.

I thought the Pulver vs Penn and Hughes vs Serra rivalries were good.

I like it, but i think they come out too quick after eachother.
It seems like as soon as one ends the next comes out 2months later.
If they did 1per year or 3 every 2years it would be more exciting and the people would be looking forward to them alot more.
Id even say 2per year would be ok.

I would love to see a Brasilian team but the language barrier would be the biggest issue as well as the Japanese fighters..

thank you for pointing out how epically it would fail, however i actually prefaced the idea with the words NOT TUF, it was another idea for a completly different show.

I think its getting old and played out far as the constant drinking and prank BS. They need to focus more on the MMA aspect not the social juvenile crap. I'm not sure if USA vs. whoever is the way to go,I though would like a more national flavor. Maybe Tuf 10 can be set in the UK,then TUF 11 in Brazil etc...
