1. TUF is interesting, and the fighters it produces have name recognision when they start fighting in UFC. The more you know about certain fighters, the more the connection to the public, the more people that will pay to see them fight.

2. Continue to show UFC unleashed & Ultimate Fight night. Seeing free matches is awesome. Some PPV I didn't see so its nice to catch up on what I missed. It also attracts more people to become MMA fans.

3. For awhile the quality of the PPV was not great. Only a couple good matches. I still prefer PRIDE, but UFC's quality is catching up. But please no events that only show 5 fights!

this makes alot more since than the thread starter's Rant...

I'm all for freedom of speech and such but posts like these need to be deleted. It serves no purpose but to make the 12 year old who wrote it giggle.

9) All weight divisions. They really do lack in overall talent when you look at them closely. The perception the UFC wants you to believe is that "Ultimate Fighting" is the best and only MMA in the world. But this is sadly true, just look at the entire UFC 61 card, it's a total stinker. The HW division is crap, the LHW division, they're protecting Chuck, @ 185 Franklin "did so well" in his last fight he can't fight for months still and no serious challenger is being groom. 170 is decent but Hughes and GSP are the only elite fighters they have. LW, time will only tell how well KenFlo does.

.....Franklin broke his hand and injured his ankle during the Louiseau fight and he has been recovering

Let's look at an entire UFC PPV production from start to finish, it won't take long.

1) The Gladiator Chorus Intro: Ok, the UFC says it wants to be mainstream, that it is a safe sport, however, the very first image you see on a UFC PPV are images of a Roman Gladiator (they killed one another by the way) suiting up for a match. It's old, tired & goes against the image the UFC is trying to change internally that it is NOT a Bloodsport. Well I don't think too many Gladiators died... WITHOUT BLEEDING.

2) Mike Goldberg. The Atlanta native has his roots in college football commentary and does week old baseball recap shows on spiketv that are already done to death daily on ESPN's Sportscenter. Goldberg is a talking informercial, the first human being one associates with when a UFC PPV is shown. Sure it's his job to be a broken record, all he has to do is try and sell the next event, doesn't matter if he knows crap about fighting. If he's not asking questions about what's going on, he blows calls 95% of the time. During UFC 60 he kept hammering on about UFC 61 and look at that shit card with all the no names on it.

3) Joe Rogan. Mike always introduces his whacky partner next and Joe always chimes in with his over-excited hype for the lackluster cards. Joe actually said he was in disbelief when Royce Gracie was fighting Matt Hughes. Was he stoned? Everybody knew Royce had no chance. And go check out his personal website and all the DRUG REFERENCES. Yep, Rogan is a real embassador for Mixed Martial Arts all right. Men getting fucked by horses til they are bloody. That's Joe Rogan's kind of humor and it's a reflection on his commentating professionalism, it's childish.

4) Guitar Riffs. Wow can the UFC rock! Face the pain of Diego Sanchez on the card. The UFC aka Zuffa is an LLC of the Fertitta's brothers who are super multi-millionaires and they can't pop the coin for a current rocking song. They've play the same lame crap for the past 2 years now that they probably paid some studio session guitarist $150 to record in an afternoon.

5) # of UFC fights per PPV. Always fluctuates, but if the UFC PPV's were more like an ACTUAL PPV and not an INFOMERCIAL, they might have some time to show some of the extra undercard fights. I don't think anything angers MMA fans more than the UFC not just showing crap fights but omitting the awesome undercard fights. It proves they are out of touch with the fan base.

6) Quality of Fights on PPV. Ok, I guess I can't avoid mentioning TUF. The only TUF fighters who deserve to be on UFC PPV's are the contract winners. You don't win a contract, keep them on UFN where the B and C class fighters TUF guys are belong. Where is the new international talent? Oh, they're getting paid better in Pride and the UFC also refuses to send over the few quality fighters they have to face ANYBODY in Pride. Didn't sign Rampage etc.

7) Xyience. Anybody who trains seriously knows this is over-priced shit and there is better quality products available for much less money. Honestly, no serious training fighter really uses this stuff and we're not fooled by gimmick commerical endorsements from UFC fighters. And I hate to mention not ONE Pride Fighter has ever publically acknowledged using Xyience to train or thanked them as a sponsor. If Xyience is really supporting MMA, they'd sponsor Pride guys too.

8) Dana White. He's just the President of the UFC, not a fucking TV star. I don't care what Bud Selig, David Stern or Paul Tagliabue have to say during their sports broadcasts, they keep it short, discreet and professional whenever they talk. Yet Dana "Fucking" White can't keep his penis-head out of range of the camera. Plus his constant swearing on spiketv again, just like Joe Rogan, does not represent the professionalism needed from the main faces of the UFC. Will be funny to watch Dana when he sells out to HBO and not be able to be his true self.

10) Why UFC PPV's stink. They don't pay fighters shit. As it was said earlier, the UFC aka Zuffa is an LLC owned by the fertitta's, the Galventon Texas mob family who moved to Vegas in the 50's and build a massive casino empire. The Fertitta's recently just opened a 95 MILLION DOLLAR CASINO in Las Vegas yet they still pay fighters $2,000 to show and another $2,000 to win. You're lucky if you get over $20,000 to fight in the UFC and if you fight a couple of times a years like most guys, you can't expect Zuffa to be there for you if you lose a fight and they decide to drop your ass. No wonder they have so many unknowns on the UFC 61 card. All the smart quality fighters are tired of the two-faced UFC. There should be immediate plans started for a fighters union in the US, just like in all other major sports.

And that's that.

Obviously, I'm much more educated, unbiased and informed about the sport of Mixed Martial Arts than the majority of you, so there's no point in questioning my facts.
Yeah Dana is real unprofessional because he ONLY SLEEPS 4 hours a night trying to make the UFC bigger.

Obviously, I can see you still haven't overcome your lack of critical thinking skills. There's no point in questioning that fact.

I like the UFC.

Sure they have problems, who doesn't.

They are growing and changing.

Maybe they will change for the better.
