Today's update on Pride (from Wanderlei's website)

I am posting both, Eng. and Port. so if someone can translate better plz do so, cause I am kinda limited

Anyway, not much said, but I find very interesting the fact, that Sakakibara is asking Pride's fighters to learn English. I guess Pride is here for long (at list in plans). I wonder what would be their next step in US.

Here we go:

Pride bets on the American market

The leadership of Pride is making more and more efforts to conquer the American market, with having several events in the land of the Uncle Sam in 2007. The dedication is so huge (crazy) that the president of the Pride, Nobuyuki Sakakibara, asked the fighters to learn to speak English, so that they would be able to communicate with fans in the United States.

The public in the United States, in general, begins to understand the MMA. It is similar to what had happened in Japan approximately five, six years ago", said Sakakibara.

This strong dedication to the North American market is already provoking concerns from the Japanese press so much, that Sakakibara had to make it clear that there is no intend to leave his country of origin: " We have intention of neglecting the Japanese market. We have to get back on TV this year. This one is ours bigger goal for this year. "

Pride aposta no mercado americano

Pride fighters need to learn english to deal with their new leader, Dana White President of Zuffa owner of Pride..... or if that is not ture, then they should know english so they can read the UFC contracts before they sign them.

true as can be right there. too bad most of the people responding to this thread are still in denial and just cant see that pride wont be around much longer. i do hope it will but i will keep saying that it wont be because their prez took too damn long to enter the american market therefore, he is screwed and so is pride.
