Machida will be in a world of trouble if he finds himself in this situation.
Yea but Machida is a BJJ so it's a little different then having forrest on his back.

This is probably going to be Machida's most testing fight that he has had. Tito is going to come in there pumped up with a lot to prove and I'm sure he is going to push the pace and take Machida down and hold him there while trying to land his inside/half gaurd GnP. This is the worst type of match up for Machida IMO. Like another poster said I guess Tito might try to do something stupid like stand with Machida which in case he will either be outpointed or stunned and submitted or lose by TKO. Personally I can't see Machida getting a straight KO on Tito. Tito has a good chin as Chuck has done some good testing on it. If Machida can beat Tito with a strong finish I think he definitely should get the next available title shot, but the LHW division is so stacked most likely he will have to have one more fight before he gets a title shot. I don't know who they could match him up against though.

i think the fight will go to decision, it seems even matched to me except im picking machida to win.. but ufc.com's poll has the fight 52% to 48% in favor of ortiz right now

Tito will have a lot of trouble getting this fight to the ground. Not only is machida elusive and good in the clinch but tito is famous for not setting up his TDs.

This fight has all the makings of a Highlight reel KO, one which tito will likely be at the business end of.

GET HIM DOWN Tito, Before he knocks you out !!!!!

it has to be to take the fight to the ground. in a 3 round fight tito cant afford to stabnd and get picked apart on the feet. his only chance is to bury machida against the cage and gnp him. if it is standing tito loses and even on the ground i don think that tito has a huge advantage

I loathe Tito, but I think he's training his ass off for this fight. He wants to make an impression.
