Out of all 6, not a single one could dunk a basketball. One could dribble decently. The lone short guy was a decent shooter. In P.E none of them were particularly gifted athletes. They were not fast sprinters, they were not good distance runners. They couldn't throw or catch a football for shit.
If any of them had tried out for our basketball team, we finished 5th at the AA tournament, they would have rode pine. If any of them had tried out for our football team, we won the provincial title once and lost in the final the other year, some of them MIGHT have played on the D-Line.
They were not even close to being the most athletic kids at that school.

Yeah, and that stayed the same when they went to the NHL right?

No man, he has a point. Referencing basketball definitely relates to hockey. See, in this guys reality, they are the same sport.
Jesus christ that guy is a retard!! Plus, you won't see any NHLers going to MMA at all anyways. The entry level pay in the NHL, or really any big pro sport, is way higher. I think it's 200,000 a year entry level, if not higher.

You cant run out of bounds to avoid a hit in hockey or lacrosse not to mention taking slashes and cross checks from sticks also as some have pointed out I think the abuse taken over 16 games in football doesnt compare to 82 in the nhl .

Great hit but FUCK Brian Campbell. Worthless piece of crap who disappeared in the playoffs last year and than ran for more money. That guy can't hold Dan Boyle's Jock.
Sorry still bitter he left (but honestly it worked out better for the Sharks). I met him at a practice last year and was surprised how small he was.

I have played both rugby and Hockey. They both require a certain level of toughness. Rugby players tend to be way,way crazier than hockey players. Party with a couple of Aussie rugby players for a couple of nights and you will see what I mean. Those guys are F'n crazy.
I loved playing hockey because if someone pisses you off you can "work" it out very easily. Where as in rugby you have to wait and pick your spot (a lot harder than it sounds).

If Tim Sylvia can become a fighter I'm sure there's a few guys in the NHL that could make the transition. Zdeno Chara's like 6'9. His dad was an olympic wrestler and Zdeno is said to be pretty good himself.
