Canada isn't propping its dollar up by buying up its own currency which is what is happening in the US. If the US wasn't doing this their dollar would be probably 10-20 cents south of the Looney right now.

Where is your evidence? According to what is reported in the media, the economic woes of the Canada pale to that of the USA. Canada does not have the mortgage crisis and our banks are not requiring bail out and we do not have the crazy deficit. Also we are more about producing then consuming compared to the USA. Is all this talk of economic crisis in the US just a smoke screen or hype to get Obama in? The relative value of the dollar does not define the economic strength of a nation.
