Tito Ortiz is the Gary Goodridge of the UFC.
Gary lasted a long time in Pride as a gatekeeper because of his "out of ring charm". His actual legitimacy as a contender was over years before he left Pride, but he always had work because of the character he played, and the memories of how good he used to be.
I think Tito could stick around for at least a couple more years as a UFC gatekeeper.
What do you guys think?

I am a Goodridge fan, but in no way think Gary's "out of ring mytique or character" is anywhere near Tito's. Also Tito was/is a legit conteder while Gary was not. Gary was always a formidable opponent who would give his all against anyone but Tito far surpassed him in ability and title contention.

Coleman could easily take your BJJ instuctor down, get his back, and choke him out, unless he is Fedor.

I wouldn't put him quite as low yet. I don't think he'll ever return to championship form but could be great at exposing up and coming "contenders" as real or not

I think Tito's still number 2 alongside Rampage, I think he'd beat any of the LHW's in there at the moment... I suppose if Machida wins his next fight, Tito v Machida would be a great match-up!

I think Jardine could beat Tito. I think Rampage could beat Tito. I actually think Forrest could beat Tito if they fought again.
Bisbing too, for sure.

No way has Tito been relegated to gatekeeper status just yet. It's just that there is going to be a stalemate for as long as Chuck is champ. A new champ would open it right up
