Get the Gold and you get VersusHD as well then.

It's all academic to me. The cable provider where I live (Comcast) doesn't carry HDNet at all. I switched to DirecTV 100% because of HDNet and don't regret it a bit.

Cheers!
Because he works for them. He's just regurgitating the same old cable company bullshit that you can hear through their official channels.

Here's the cable company M.O. ...
Make a lot of noise, deliver very little, then make a million lame excuses about why cable sucks right now but will be so much better in the near future.

I'm switching both internet and cable after Faber vs Brown II. The $120-$250mo is their loss and I'm not coming back anytime soon (will probably be stuck in some contract with another provider).

What's better Dish, Directv or AT&T?

I live in Manhattan in a building where the ONLY option is TW. I am royally fucked. I don't know what I will do without my weekly fix of Inside MMA.

I'm pissed because I pay extra for HDNet, probably like all of you, and they still get rid of it. I'm gonna miss watching DREAM in 1080i

I have the same problem. TW has a monopoly in Manhattan. Most landlords won't let you get any other type of cable or satellite.

Time Warner's service is garbage too. Comcast has better service, more channels, and costs less. I wish I could get FiOS too.

Good thing I'm moving this month and won't have to deal with their garbage.

I fully intend to get HDNet again once I move.

Every other channel I want is on the Silver package. I'm not sure the $10 extra per month is worth it just for VersusHD. Plus, I gotta get Showtime and HBO for boxing/mma. My goal is to not be paying much more than I was for TWC.

I hate how the cable companies have monopolies in most places. They stay out of each others turf, that way their only competition is from satellite providers.

Time Warner was forced to back down from their metered internet usage plans last week so they need to make up the projected revenue somewhere. They are likely to begin cutting more channels and services in the next few months while prices stay the same. Not only TW, but most cable companies have been seeing a net loss of video subs for years.

Your local municipality sold them exclusive right-of-way for that turf for a couple million and some franchise fees(n% of all profits on subs) all of which is worked into your bill.

I was absolutely heartbroken when I found out I wasnt going to get HDNet Fights anymore. Now the only promotions I'll be able to watch are Strikeforce and UFC. I had to purchase the Showtime package just to compensate for all the MMA I'll be missing out on with the loss of HDNet. Fuck Time Warner; I blame them for not having NFL network as well.
