That shits fucked up. No more Bas and Kenny. No more live Japanese MMA.
That being said, I am NOT going back to a dish.

Right....because that is how it should be approached.

Anyone who has Time Warner and HD has noticed more and more hd channels being added for free, they also upgrade you for free from digital cable to hd. Dish/Direct tv do not. You pay more for hd programing.
So if you attempted to get all us MMA fans blindly hating Time Warner because you didnt get the price you asked for HDNet from Time Warner. You are mistaken.
What was the price you asked for your "package" per subscriber. I am very interested.

Rofl @ "Free"
I've had Time Warner...I have AT&T U-Verse now. Their "Free" HD upgrade is basically built into the cost. On top of shitty service, horrible internet, and Pay Per views that constantly fuck up, I don't know anyone in their right mind who would want to put up with them.
Only thing that I wouldn't mind having is Versus, but that channel sucks ballls if the WEC isn't on. Bull Riding and bass fishing is way too extreme for my tastes.

I'm not sure why you are nuthugging Time Warner so much. They have a track record of really shitty business practices. I doubt that HDNet are blameless in this instance but I am sure that HDNet need TimeWarner way more than Time Warner needs HDNet. If you are looking to point a finger at someone, the cable company is definately the culprit.
It's all academic to me. The cable provider where I live (Comcast) doesn't carry HDNet at all. I switched to DirecTV 100% because of HDNet and don't regret it a bit.
Cheers!

Comcast Houston (formerly TWC) discontinued their HDmovies channel a few months back while still carrying HDNet. So, they must have negotiated a split package with Comcast for Comcast still be carrying HDNet while not offering HDMovies.

I dumped my HD tier after Time Warner removed HDNet/HDMovies this past Friday (here in Austin). I'm also looking into scaling back my other services. I can't get ATT UVerse or do anything with a dish so I'm pretty much strapped in terms of options.

There is no Rofl @ Free.
If you buy digital cable it is one fee. If at any time you upgrade like I did to HD, it is free. You switch out boxes and all the hd programing is free. Close to 100 extra channels get added on for nothing extra. IMO thats "Free HD programing" when I paid for digital.
My internet with them has always been solid. If your experiencing shitting internet maybe you should stop typing about it and start calling about it and get someone to go out and fix it.
Most people who bitch about services of companies like Time Warner, Comcast, and even dish/direct tv companies usually do something stupid to their setup and complain to everyone how it is unreliable, but rarely call them to fix it.
It is quite simple.
If your picture doesn't look good and you pay for service, call them and tell them. I don't know about Comcast but Time Warners Trouble Calls are free.
If your internet is slower then the speed you pay for, or it is always going out... Call them and tell them and get it fixed.
Every company has "bad customer support" on the internet. People only blog, and post about companies with bad experiences and of course its only one side of the story.
I am very curious how much HDNet was charging Time Warner per subscriber for their channel.

That very logical post will definitely be purposely ignored amidst the hate. People rarely take the time to post their opinions for any sort of service unless it is negative.
To be honest this is the only time I have been upset with something @ TW. My internet is great 15x2 with up to 22x4 while downloading or uploading large files.
U-Verse on the other hand is on a copper network (what cable was on in the 80's) and seems to be a step in the wrong direction. FiOS on the other hand is great and is the only other company I would consider outside of cable service.
So in short once again....I just want the damn channel back!

Agree with most of what you are saying. In Houston, we use to have TWC and the service was great. Then, Comcast took over the Houston market when the two companies split the Texas region. The service was the same for about a year. But, once Comcast had distanced themselves from TWC, the service has gotten pretty bad. Routine intermittent internet and phone outages during the day, tiling of the channels, tier blackouts in the middle of the night, increase in fees, no new programming since Comcast took over (unless you count OnDemand options, which I do not), etc..
I have called repeatedly, only for them to tell me that the outages are scheduled for necessary maintenance/testing, or that when a repairman comes out he cannot find anything wrong. Currently, I cannot access anything OnDemand. Their support tells me to wait a few days to see if I stop getting the error message. I have tried to talk to someone other the customer service, and they will not xfer a call to their business offices. So, I cannot speak to someone who really matters to tell them that their service has greatly deteriorated over the last 1+year.
After I received a notice last week that they will begin to charge me $5 a month for an unlisted phone number, I am now considering my options of switching. Uverse is looking pretty good. I just dread the hassle, especially since I telecommute 100% of the time.
