[quote=HDNet Fights;31871466]TWC wanted to keep us on a tier that paired us with bad products, and we wanted to be available to more people (and cheaper to the consumer). Therefore, an agreement hasn't been reached.
We want to grow our business so we can bring you more live MMA than we already do. It costs a whole lot more to show an MMA live event than a taped one. You guys ask for live events, so we deliver them. In order to keep delivering them and be able to give you more, we need to grow as a business. If you don't agree with that, I don't know what to tell you.

two questions:
1. what "bad products" are you referring to specifically? how bad can something be that your programming got pulled from the biggest cable carrier in the US over it?
2. please respond to the accusation that you are insisting that TWC sign for a package, making them accept a HD movie channel they dont want on the strength of the hdnet channel, which has performed well. if true, this would put more of the blame on hdnet.
one comment:
if i have to choose between having hdnet on TWC vs. hdnet having live fights, i'd go with the former. hdnet fights are nothing spectacular, and if they cost too much to produce that you have to "grow your business" then drop them. what i really want to see on hdnet is the out of country and smaller promotion events that you cant see anywhere else on TV in the US (esp. dream, m-1 and k-1)... and the mma talk show with bas of course.
you have a superior business model in that you have formed a sort of alliance with all the other top mma promotions out there to give us consumers as wide a range of events to see as possible. while the ufc is run the only way dana and the ferttita's know how... like the mafia. please do not derail the only other option for vale tudo fans on cable TV. sign the damn deal for hdnet by itself, and negotiate the other shit on the strength of its own programming.
if we miss k-1 max cause of this contract dispute, expect a good deal of resentment from what would otherwise be your loyal fans and consumers.
