Yeah I have to agree. He really turned me off when he was on TUF. I think he was a Top 10fighter but never really top 5. He comes across arrogant. It is pretty bad when put beside Tito people start to like him more and you less. I think he tarnished his image on TUF for a lot of people. I hear people say all the time that when they started watching they liked Ken and not Tito but by the end of TUF they felt opposite.

He doesnt need to learn BJJ. He knows submission wrestling which is almost the same and has like 22 submission wins in MMA. Sakaraba doesnt know BJJ either.

Dude, him and Royce were the first submission guys. When SEG owned the UFC the biggest fights in there history were Shamrock/Gracie and Shamrock/Severn. When Zuffa bought the UFC they were actually losing money in the Shamrock/Ortiz fight where they drew HUGE numbers at the time. If it weren't for Shamrock the UFC may be out of buisness right now. And he is a legend cuz he tons of top guys back in the day.

I respect Ken. He was one of the pioneers of the sport, and if the UFC had refs at the time would have won a very respectable (at the time) win over Royce Gracie. He's also gave some good performances agianst Severn, Kimo, Rutten, Fujita and Frye. People are harsh on him for not learning BJJ but at his age and level of skill i simply thaink it was beyond him. He should be remembered as oe of the mas talented and well rounded fighters in the beginning of the UFC. Had he not left to make more money ($1million a year as opposed to the peanuts the UFC was apying back then in its darkest days.) in wrestling who knows how he would have done. It was sad to see him return to a sport which had clearly evolved beyond him, his brash attitude and ability to sell a fight prevented us from seeling him as he really was a lot of the time, a broken down, stubborn old veteran with the heart of a lion. Good luck in your retirement Ken

I dont dislike Shamrock because he's past his prime, there is worst fighters than him fighting all the time and nobody complains. What I dislike about Shamrock is his arrogance and how he basically "fucked" the chances of the guys who he was supposed to coach during TUF 3.

I dislike the fact that he never accepts responsibility for what he does and in all interviews, tv, even in his book, he wants to portray everybody else as the jerks and he is always the good one and the tough one. I really think he needs a good smack in the head so he sees the reality of things and stops lying to himself and impressionable stupid kids who can not distinguish between his bullshit.

Did your guys forget the unbelievable crap he used to say every week during TUF 3 show??? how he "made" Tito?? how his fighters "gave up" and how he would never EVER take responsability that his fighters were not conditioned enough compared to Tito's who WERE getting really coached??

Shamrock behaves like the kind of person who would never do anything for anybody unless there is something for him in it, basically thats it, that resumes all...and there is nothing wrong with being like that...but hey if you are going to be like that then come on screen wanting to make you sound like you "gave" so much to the sport and how everybody should "respect" you...bullshit...all his life he looked up for himself only so now dont come trying to be a martir of the sport.

Except Ken has absolutely no guard and once he's on his back you can just smash him as much as you want?

I honestly dont like Shamrock atm. When he retires I will have more respect for him tho because he seems a bit more humble when he isn't abusing Tito (i.e when he commentates).

I haven't much respect for him because I feel he abused MMA in its infancy with steroids (even though plenty of others in 93 and beforehand seemingly were also).

I think the roids has screwed his intelligence a fair bit and it shows when he tries to argue with people like Tito.

I think it would be better for him and his fans if his last fight was against another 'legend' like Tank or Royce.
