They just compared MMA to Dog Fighting on ESPN

This shows you how far the sport still has to go in the eyes of the mainstream. I like that MMA is covered on ESPN but to use it in your story on Michael Vick and dog fighting is absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful.

A good line for people to use:
Dogfighting involves two animals who will fight to the death for no other reason than knowing that if they don't, they will die. There is no love, respect, or elations; only a dead animal. The UFC fighters exude compassion for one another, give their all, and use the skills they have honed for years to put on exciting shows and provide for their families.

It's just totally misunderstood by these idiots. These are the same guys that hate soccer because, well I don't why because it's not American I think. They are the old school idiots, my fathers dogmatic narrow-minded generation who think that a good boxer can't be beat.
