HYPE.
I'm a HUGE Arlovski fan, but there is NO HOLE in Fedor's game.
This is some David and Goliath shit right here.
If AA somehow pulls this off then he will be legend.
Fedor stood with a prime CroCop and won.
They both fought Tim Sylvia, let's compare their success on the feet. FEDOR RAPED TIM TO THE GROUND IN SECONDS.
Fedor hurt Tim with strikes worse than he'd ever been hurt in MMA.
He's fast, he's powerful, and he's unorthodox so he's hard to predict.
He is the mountain of all mountains in MMA.
Freddie Roach is a hype man for whoever his fighter is. Simple.

If fedor catches AA on the chin its a wrap, i think we can all agree at this point AA may have a chin issue and a psychological fear of being ko'd again. He just was not the same fighter after timmay laid him out. However, if anybody has a chance against Fedor its either a huge wrestler that can defend subs or a guy like AA that can rock him and stay out of danger with excellent footwork. My gut is telling me Fedor only because i just cant picture him loseing to anybody, but i would not be shocked if AA caught him, a la Fujita, and then pounced on him for a tko.

I'm a little worried watching a more refined striking style come out of MMA. Other fighters who use looping punches have been beaten by more refined boxing techniques.
But still, Fedor is very fast, heavy handed, and they will be doing a lot more in this fight than just standing and striking. It's not a gimme fight, AA is talented and strong, but may have problems dealing with the versatility of Fedor's skill set.

Tim Sylvia never knocked AA out, he punched him in the throat.
All of Arlovski's best performances are after Pedro Rizzo brutally knocked him out.
So let's stop with the bullshit 'AA's chin' and 'AA's mind' theories already.

AA seems to have chin issues. Not only is AA vulnerable to being dropped but he appears to be fighting a little more cautiously to guard against that. In his fight vs Rothwell he opened up a bit more and if he can do that against Fedor that will be his only chance imo.
Fedor has good speed and if AA is backpedling Fedor will use strike to set up a trip or throw and dominate on the ground.
I hope can pull ou the win but I think the only way he can is to be aggressive on the feet. Not overly aggressive but if he's hesitant he will get destroyed.

I wouldn't pretend to know what one must do to beat Fedor.
I just know I'll be glued to the screen for this fight!!!
