Even though he kept on fighting Marquadt broke the rules two more times and still didnīt win. Thales moves up, Marquadt moves down, and no rematch.

I thought if Thales couldn't continue due to an illegal strike that he automatically WINS the match>?

He would have but he probably didn't know the rule especially when you're half out of it.

Anyone that survives that is a warrior in my book.

I gained major respect for Leites in this fight. He didn't complain once from any of the controversies.

Why would he complain? He won the fight only because of those point reductions.

He shouldn't be proud? He was beating a world class fighter who had to resort to cheating in an attempt to win. He should be proud for the fact that a top 10 fighter had no answer for him and had to resort to illegal tactics.
I'm a Marquadt fan, but Leites fully deserved the win - and it is a genuine win.

Was a split decision with 2 point reductions for Marquardt...Thales is a true warrior, but didn't really WIN that fight, Marquardt LOST the fight. I'm sure I will get a ton of replies saying there is no difference, but to me, there is...
