at least thales was able to follow the damn rules which nate couldnt. i like the hate thales is getting even tho he had to deal with the illegal strikes.

at sherdog we go apeshit if a fighter doesnt say a perticular thing in the interviews or we dont like their personality outside the cage or ring, buts its ok if your break MULTIPLE RULES in the fight.

Thales has always been impressive to me but man did this performance show his true spirit. He's a real tough dude.

Someone that admits that they were rocked and out of it after the fact. Amazing. Please see Maynard, karo and Houston as some examples of why my statement was made.

Fuck Fedor, he's dead to me. Fuck M1, the only way to see Fedor in the UFC is for M1 to die, so boycott anything M1 related. Fucking Russian Leeches.

Hello, my name is Declan Khan and I am only human. I enjoy martial arts, world cinema, pornography, cartoons, poetry, creative writing, serialised television shows and tattoos. I like to sit in my local park, enjoy warm sunny days and can't stand the cold London rain that I have grown so accustomed to. I've got two caps on my front teeth from where I survived being hit by a car aged 8 because I am built for better things. I live for women but can't find one worth tolerating long enough to care and then usually they disappoint me because that's what they tend to do. Shame, really, you'd think I'd be surprised more often if just by what you'd assume is "diversity", but I remain waiting for that day. My favourite colours are blue and black, I will eat creamed steak in mushroom sauce on white rice like a starved zombie and I love to use a left legged Kyokushin style high kick or arm triangle choke to put people out in training. I am loyal to my instructors Luiz "Manxinha" Ribeiro, Steve Gladstone and master Roberto Atalla and will be until I am six feet under. My best friends are Michael and Alex. I await life and it's challenges so I can chew it up and spit them out. I always fall for girls called Jo, Sam or Kat. Don't ask me why. I guess they just make up the better named/better looking contingent of women out there, including perhaps the finest woman on Earth, Katja Kassin (queen of teh anal). Oh, before I forget, Sherdog.net, don't fuck with us. We're badass. Ooooh yeeaah.

It is no surprise though that Lietes doesn't want the rematch. A real warrior would jump at the chance to prove he is the better man, rather than let a controversial win stand. Leites knows the elbow was legal, he knows the knee was unintentional and he knows that slam was 100% his fault. He doesn't want to tangle with that again, and Marquardt probably hasn't lost much of his standing in the MW division.

As to that slam, there is an absurd amount of revision. In reality, the slam had an arc and was therefor legal (Nate pushes Thales about 5 feet back), Thales broke the fall with his hands (so he can hardly claim he was spiked), and the entire situation was Thales' own fault. Thales is not the wrestler that Nate is, and he stupidly held onto Nate's legs way too high. Nate responded by trying to lift him, and Leites responded like an amateur. Any decent wrestler would have immediately sprawled and move his hold on Nate's legs lower. This would have dropped his center and prevented Nate from picking him up. Leites stupidly held onto Nate and let his ass get tossed head over heels. In greco he would have immediately lost. It is really difficult to blame Nate for Leites' poor wrestling. And what did you want Nate to do? Should he have set down Leites nicely? If you are stupid enough to get your ass lifted head over heels, you can't really complain about the other guy.

Once again, the throw was completely badass and completely legal. Any throw with an arc is considered legal and is not considered spiking an opponent (spiking implies a linear motion). Nate manhandled Thales, Thales is crawling away with the W and he doesn't want the rematch anytime soon.

quite the warrior spirit.

Hahaha, good thing blaming the illegal move on Leites not know how to wrestle. guess the knee was his fault too due to he should know that it was coming and therefore stood up.
