Without the illegal knee to the head, Leites would have repeated what he did to Nate in the first round before the illegal knee; he would have won.

Thales won the first round. The fight was 10-9 Leites before the illegal knee.

Ok, the illegal elbow...fine, i guess I could see the point deduction.

But the knee that you are all complaining about was an accident.

Thales knee was off the ground, then it went back on the ground, and as that happened, Nate kneed him...

That's all it was...

But Thales is still an amazing fighter...

I think you are right. I have exaggerated because I hate Nate. He is so cocky!

I already edited my post

We really need knees on the ground.... it changes the game considerably.
It's not a skillful strike when it's against the rules and regulations that both competitors had agreed to. Now had it been considered a legal strike there wouldn't be any controversy but it isn't and it was cheating. If Nate had waited another second and threw the knee then it would have been skillful, that wasn't skillful it was a foul.

You can't blame him for a phantom elbow to the back of the head.

Its simple - He could continue, that's why he did continue! He back-peddled after his post-fight interview and said the knee was debilitating in order to save face for his less than stellar performance and VERY controversial win.

...why do you think he changed his mind? - first saying the knee was not that bad (evidenced by not wanting to take time to regain himself), and then after the boos, and likely reading the internet chatter the knee suddenly became fight-ending

why did he change his mind? ...why didn't he take the alloted 5 minutes to rest?

Hey dumbass, if it was legal he would have defended it don't ya think? Why the hell would people train for things that are against the rules. God knows I wouldn't, it would just open you up for other disasters that ARE legal.
