Great Interview. His warrior spirit is the reason he is one of my favorite fighters. Hell I was I could transplant his warrior spirit into Gonzaga that be some scary shit then lol.

Yea i felt bad for Thales when he got hit with that knee. He was wobbling all over the cage saying he was okay but you could tell he was pretty messed up. Glad he got the win in the end

I'd like to see him rematch Marquardt, that was a good fight.

It'd be interesting to see it go down without that illegal knee.

He was really in survival mode for a while after that. I was impressed he kept it together.

Nope. Marquadt would fish hook, eye gouge and use strikes to the groin in the rematch.

The fact is that Thales Leites was everything but out after that knee, and that affected how he fought for the rest of the fight since he was winning the fight until that point.

The only reason he said he was OK to fight again itīs because he thought they would have given Marquadt the win. If he knew that Marquadt would be disqualified if he couldnīt continue fighting, I think he wouldnīt wanna fight because he was rocked big time.

Even though he kept on fighting Marquadt broke the rules two more times and still didnīt win. Thales moves up, Marquadt moves down, and no rematch.

He even stated this in the interview perfectly. Once I asked him about Marquardt he had no problem telling me his opinion about it and how he doesn't want a rematch.
