I do agree with that. Anyone can be beaten on any given day. It's the nature of all sports and why Chris Bermans quote of "thats why they play the game" is fitting.

That said, every single time a UFC HW belt holder wins, we get all these *> Fedor posts. It is ludicrous really. I enjoy both the UFC and Pride and other smaller orgs as well. All MMA is cool by me, even the local shows in New England.

Fedor though, skillwise is the best fighter I have ever seen. Yeah there are a ton of people hugging his nuts. P4P he is the best I've seen.

If AA beat Tim, I'd be arguing against someone posting a similar thread. It never ends.

Anyway, Sylvia has a puncher's chance. He is big, hits hard, and has some take down defense. He's definately top 10 and probably top 5. Give the guy some credit. However, to say it's time to "Bring on Fedor" is absurd. Tim is still only 2-2 against top ten caliber fighters. Also, he's only been able to keep things standing against 1 good grappler (Ricco), who, for some retarded reason, came out and tried to strike with the guy.

Another rather comical element of this comment... who does Tim think has been Fedor's main sparring partner since childhood? If there is anything Fedor is used to dealing with, it is a tall striker with good clinch and ground game.

Fedor is a Russian. So far this is what we know about those slovokians choke artists, here are some general talking points that might be of value to you in speaking intelligently about the matter:

General Knowledge about Russian
1) They can't make government work
2) They can't keep a country together
3) They are heretics and don't believe that Jesus Christ is their personal Savior.
4) They can't devise a reasonable gameplan against a fighter with transparent weaknesses and lesser skills (see Arlovski vs. Silvia 3 and Stallone vs. Drago)
5) They can have moderate success and give the illusion of dominance.
6) They can never reach legendary status (go ahead and try to think of one that is considered a legend)
7) Their language sounds like a lot of hooie, no doubt the work of the devil

The bottomline is Tim beats him and unifies the the heavyweight championship becoming the first undisputed champion in the sport.

He didn't tap when he got his arm snapped, he wouldn't tap unless he thought he was going to be seriously injured. Fedor is NOT GOD. do you people get it? I would like to see the fight and would bet on Tim, for the fact that the odds would be great and he could win. I think Fedor WOULD win, but also that Tim could win. How hard is it to figure out that when 2 men fight, they both ave a 50/50 chance of winning?

what the hell are you drunk, man?

He will have to fight Tim's game, which is why Tim is so deceptively good. He looks silly, maybe, but packs one hell of a punch and wins 92% of the time. Sounds good to me.

OMG you've got to be f#ckin'kidding me?! Fedor is not strong enough to take down Tim?!
Maybe you've never seen Fedor fight, but believe me, he is def. in another league
