Markcowperthwai, your orange belt should be revoked to white belt. Everytime you post about Sylvia I'm gonna qoute this noob thread. So I guess that means don't post about stuff you have no idea about.

Sylvia v. Giant Silva
They should put Sylvia against Giant Silva first to see if he is even worthy of a Pride level opponent lol.

Sorry, I meant that Fedor lost to Kohsaka. KOHSAKA lost to Couture, Babalu, etc. etc. My biggest point is that Fedor is beatable. Everyone is. You count Sylvia out because you dont like him. Until the fight happens, this is all debatable.
Quake, kiss my ass. I have watched UFC longer than you have, I bet. I watched 1-10 live. I lost track during the dark years, but came back about UFC 30. I have seen every single fight in UFC since. I have not seen every Pride, but have seen quite a few Pride fights along with K1 and ROTR, KOTC, and about every other MMA show I can get my hands on.
I am not fucking wrong, you read my post wrong. I should use more pronouns, evidently. I know Fedor only lost once, but Sylvia lost 2 times. Why the fuck do peolple jump on me for a typo instead of trying to use their fucking brains and figure out what I may have meant?
You are a fucking NOOB, posting since 1/06. I posted under another name since 2002, but on this name since 3/04. Read my posts and you will know that I know what I am talking about, but also love to debate. Any given day, any fighter can beat any other fighter. Get that through your heads people.

Absolutely agree....
...Except in the case of Tim/Fedor. First round stoppage w/ Fedor victorious.

Hey noob, I've been following MMA since UFC 1. Just cause I started posting on sherdog since earlier this year means nothing. Don't bring up pointless shit. You need to structure what you wanna say better, cause everyone thought you has said Fedor lost to Kohsaka, Couture and Babalu. The Kohsaka lasted 12 seconds on an illegal elbow. Take that out and I'm 100% positive Fedor beats him down just like in the rematch, minus the GnP to his grill cause it's Rings.
Your signature shows your from Maine. It's obvious you like Sylvia cause he is from Maine also.
There is a huge difference between Sylvia and Fedor. Sylvia has a punchers chance..thats it.
Fedor is faster, more explosive and defeats the best in the world. Just cause their record is similar means nothing. If you are an MMA fan for as long as you say, you would know that Tim is not on Fedor's level nor is the competition he fights.

Again, I dont want to sound like Fedor is not phenomenal. He is probably the best fighter ever in HW MMA. Fedor could and should pound Tim into the ground, but Tim could clean his clock with a good shot. If I had to bet my life on it, I would pick Fedor. If I had to bet money, I would bet on Tim. I could use the money, with the odds being so heavily in Fedor's favor. You read too much into a post that I consider theory, debate, and possibility. Sorry if I have confused the less intelligent that do not perceive the concept of abstract thought and theory. Go read a book, people.

How many of you have actually seen Fedor fight? I have almost everyone of his fights on DVD (one fight from Rings) and all of Sylvia's UFC fights. The way I see it.......Sylvia is better then most people give him credit for (his win over Ricco Rodriguez impressed me) but I would bet my house that Silvia doesn't make it to the 3rd round against Fedor. Fedor is athletic and extremely technical. He would stun Sylvia on the feet and sub. him on the ground. Fedor is just too quick and skilled for Sylvia. Fedor's stand up is better than Sylvia's and Sylvia would get murdered on the ground. The only people that give Sylvia a chance are the one's that have never seen Fedor fight. Do yourself a favor and fork out $20 at the Sherdog store and get one of Fedor's fights.

I like Tim because I have known him my whole life. I dont think he is a good fighter because I know him. I know and like many amateur fighters, but dont think they are good if they are not.
Tim's earlier competition was not star material, but he has grown steadily and beat AA, who everyone decried as unbeatable. Now they say AA was overrated, glass jawed, etc. I just wish people would give a little respect. Pride has generally better fighters, more money, but many guys just dont go there because they are happy with where they are. Who is to say that UFC doesn't start paying bigger and draw more Pride fighters?
I think the next few years we will see a merging of Pride/UFC into a major, worldwide mix. UFC may continue to be the proving ground to earn Pride money. I dont know. I just hope Pride gets more time on air in the US so I can see more and learn more along the way. I am a student of the sport, and like where I see MMA heading in the next few years.
