sticky thread for new ufc point system discussion
Mods, please sticky a thread where we can discuss a new point system for the judgs to use in the UFC. The one with the best idea should be reposted in a new sticky after all ideas are submitted. I personally have had seen enough BS decisions and we need to keep on this until the UFC does something about this.
I think the judges should credit a fighter from anything from a 0 to a 10 but they have to break each round down and the results be submitted publicly...maybe even on the big screen. Roughly something like this :
3 points for most kicks/punches landed
1 point for most kicks/punches thrown
1 point for most takedowns
2 points for most submission attempts
1 point for most takedown defense
1 point for most damage from a punch or kick
1 point for attempt to finish fight
All judges will be super accountable if they have to provide a breakdown. No way they can get away with tipping the scale like they do now.
with 3 judges totalling all those points you won't have any draws and if there is a draw it will be because the fight is a draw and not a BS draw.
