I'm thinking it could really be something big. Like they purchased Yamma Pit Fighting and are switching from teh Octagon to THE YAMMA! That would be a big announcement!

How is MMA being santioned in New York gonna be the big announcement for Dana White? It's not like New York is only gonna allow UFC to do shows.

of course white said this is NOT the announcement already so take it with a grain of salt.
no matter what the announcement is -- it can't live up to the hype unless it's like... Heros+Affliction+Dream and UFC merge. heh

MMA in New York would be big espically if they had matt highes vs serra at MSG on NYE..and have the GSP vs PENN 2 rematch..

I don't think that will be the annuncement but that is a goldmine.
I would stop by there when I was in Vegas.

I know the Fertittas do not own or manage the Mandalay Bay as it was bought by the MGM Mirage group about 4/5 years ago. If the UFC aquired a Las Vegas site, that would allow them to consolidate and have a purpose built centre for Pay-per-View, Tv Shows, a public Gym, Shopping outlet and Hotel which would have a huge following all year round!
You never know!
