28% accuracy for D's strikes
31% accuracy for A's strikes

I'm sure I'm not completely accurate with blocks, sometimes it's hard to tell with the tools I have.

The reality is Diego won the third round hands down, no question. But Allessio hands down won the 1st and 2nd. It is officially the WWE. A joke! In the third round, I'm not sure what Diego gets for the eye gauging and using the fence to retain back mount/escape the arm bar. I assume there must be some kind of penelty from judges. Whatever, enjoy.

Punch stats sometimes don't tell the whole story.

Alessio fought a fantastic defensive fight, but what the judges saw was a guy refusing to engage, a guy constantly backing up and avoiding, and most importantly, a guy fighting simply not to lose.

I give Alessio credit, he fought a great defensive fight and landed a couple of nice jabs, but that's literally all he did for 15 minutes. He spent the rest of the time pretty much not fighting.

Couldn't be bothered to read your whole post.

The judges are appointed by the CSAC a sanctioning body that has no financial ties to the UFC so that's a very deep conspiracy theory there sport.

It was a very close fight and Alessio did block just about everything. If Diego wasn't on his back for 3 minutes.. I'd have expected a straight draw. But the fact is, Alessio was doing absolutely nothing on the attack and just being defensive all the time. You can't sit back and hope to win a decision. Why the fans were booing is absolutely beside me. Diego was pushing the action the whole time when he easily could have just given up and walked around in circles with Alessio. From the way I see it, this is one decision the judges actually got right.

Allessio peppered Sanchez throughtout the whole fight making Sanchez's face look like Evan Tanner's.
I think Diego should have lost 29-28, but that is quite a huge overstatement there.

This guy is right on the money. The thread should end right here and now. Whenever you have a fight where nothing much happens as far as actual points being scored as far as punches, kicks, subs etc. about the only thing you have left is who was the aggressor who tried to push the action...that was obviously Sanchez. His opponent tried to "not loose" like this poster said.

the fact that one judge scored it 30-27 is enough proof that the UFC is protecting their TUF'er

Allessio fought the defensive fight? He had a guy in back mount for 3:22 minutes. No he didn't. That was Diego. Diego has back mount and attempts one submission. He really only threw punches twice. Once to get Allessio to lose the arm bar and the other with time running down to put on a charade for the judges and fans. HE DID NOTHING! Allessio was more active while Diego had back mount. Allessio was attempting submission after submission. He even was throwing punches while standing, mounted, and using arm bars on Diego. THAT IS A JOKE! How does a guy not only stay standing for 3:22 while another guy has back mount.... but he continued to catch Diego in submissions....... he was even throwing punches during the submissions too. Diego was the parasite attaching himself to Allessio so that he didn't have to stand up and fight... because he couldn't get Allessio down.

Allessio was going in for the kill in the 3rd round and Diego smelled it and hid for the rest of the round doing nothing other than the mount, despite the dominant position.

The only time Allessio backed off was when Diego would throw running wild missing punch combos. After which Diego would run away. Yes, Diego would run away.

I will be happy to see Diego fight a real fight. Hopefully he makes his way to Pride where he will have his skull split. Because Diego getting hurt isn't in the ufc STORYLINE. Hopefully he gets a match with Captain Lou Albano.

LIES! LIES!

Sure, nobody compares to Tanner. But Diego had a big cut over his right eye, a small one over his left, small welts on his forehead and the bridge on his nose was swollen/bruised. It's not a huge exaggeration. He was busted up.

Eddie Bravo explained it to a T when explained his score card. "The fight to me turned out perfectly. I think Diego edged out a victory"
