Spencer Fisher / Jens Pulver @ MFS?

Aren't both of these guys MFS fighters? Wouldn't this be a conflict of interest seeing as both are championship caliber fighters? Is Pulver going back to MFS?

UHHHH, i'm assuming both have ambitions of being champion................So you're telling me that neither would want to fight for the title?

Honor matters in MMA, for most at least. Friends do usually not like fighting, nor do teammates. It only makes sense. This is what originally caused all the Liddell/Ortiz bullcrap. If ambition goes before friendship, similar things will occur- one of them will get knocked out.

Don't forget that Josh Neer, who is also an MFS fighter, said he wanted to drop to 155lbs after he beat Joe Stevenson at 155.

That would put 2, arguably 3, MFS fighters in the UFC's 155lb top 10. Not to mention that Sean Sherk is also represented by Monte Cox, who is the manager for a large portion of MFS fighters. Monte Cox is the manager for Sean Sherk, Spencer Fisher, and Jens Pulver. So he represents arguably the UFC division's top 3 fighters.

Now there is a conflict in interest.

This subject is a double edged sword. Clearly by their success, training in a team environment like MFS or Team Quest will raise the level of the person training with other top athletes to push them. The downside is after a while, you get 3 or 4 big teams, then you get your top contenders from each weight classs joining these teams to train, and after a while, these 2 guys are on the same team and don't want to fight, these other fighters are way too good of friends to fight, ect.
IMO, if you are in a weight class, you should be willing and prepared to fight any fighter in that division, teammate, best-friend, blood-brother, whatever.

I think their standup would be close, Jens a little more technical and polished, but Fisher's standup is very effective and good at getting inside. On the ground i think Fisher is way better than Pulver, and able to finish him there. Jens is wierd with the ground, from a bunch of interviews i've seen and read, instead of work on his weakest area of MMA, he'd rather say he only wants stand up fights and that if somebody takes him down, he'll just submit so it's not boring. With an attitude like that, he won't be wearing the belt again any time soon.
