i used to wrestle in high school. took karate for 5 years (brown belt), ju jitsu and kickboxing off and on.....

i REALLY wanna take judo BAAD!!!

my goal is to compete someday soon. i just have to work allot to pay bills so its hard for me to go to the gym a whole lot. i feel pretty confident that my skills are good enough, but my cardio sucks. as soon as i get my shit together and stop going out every weekend, ill be ready. i could go get a fight right now if a wanted, but want to be 100% sure im ready, because i know my opponent will show me no mercy.

I started taking Judo recently with a strong emphasis on mat work. My gym is also shifting somewhat into MMA a little because we are moving into a bigger place, and the head sensei fights MMA and is a student of Serra.

Two main reasons are: It's a real good workout, and since I graduated college I've been sitting on my ass most of the time.

And I think the ground work gives me a better understanding of MMA. And since I was an English major / Journalism minor, I would like to try my hand at writing about MMA some day.

I wrestle, my goal is to win. I have a black belt in TKD but that was when I was very young.

Also if you want to be in great shape wrestling is the best sport you can do, at least in my opinion.

I train in MMA and Kickboxing. MMA class is all types of ground work from Judo, to wrestling to jiu-jitsu. I take it to stay in shape and learn something. Much better than just going to the gym. I have no aspirations to fight beyond smokers.
