I ordered affliction because I figured that local bars wouldn't be showing it.

I heard it mentioned that here in Canada a hockey PPV sometimes costs 1200, and those are not as expensive as UFC events to consumers.

I'm sure that Harley Davidson and Bud Light chip in a few million to have their names within the octagon. If anyone thinks that the UFC comes away with only around 2 million per event, they are delusional.

Do sports books have to pay for each TV they show it on? Or just one flat fee?

bad joke I know
I actually beleived you, a few UFCs ago some friends and I went to hooters in West covina/socal and they said they no longer show UFC because of idiots that start fights. So we go to BJs across the street and same thing, Fridays same thing and a few other sports bars and all of them didn't show it.

True. But I'm sure every org. goes through that so the numbers line up evenly.

Bdubs in Athens has a $5 charge and the one in Cleveland pays 750$ per PPV to show it no matter how many people come.

hmm weird, maybe its the number of them showing it legitmately.

I'm on my IPhone right now so I can't link the article, but it's the headline on the homepage at MMAPayout.com. If someone could link it for me I'd appreciate it.
why do we care about the UFC's profits as they don't fucken share it with most of the fighters (fairly) anyways!!!!!!!!!

This is something Affliction fans should take into consideration as well (assuming there were some bars that showed Banned).
Bars and Restaurants usually buy Closed Circirt Broadcasts which don't go into the PPV numbers
