black belts dont set them selves up for arm bars the entire fight and get arm bared by blue belts unless the blue belt is some kindof jiujitsu phenom. it was either nerves or his black belt isent legit

Who did he get is black belt from?
Alan Goes, from BTT.
weird.

By the time you reach blue belt level, especially under Rickson, you should be able to pull off armbars and simple chokes with and without a gi. I was also disappointed with McCulley's grappling abilities as well. Especially for how long he has trained with Tito and Team Punishment. Both guys were disappointing for this level of MMA competition.
It's much more difficult to pull off any sub when you're being punched in the face and smashed up against a fence. Rickson fought around ropes and when stuffed, threw them over. Hardonk is probably a new blue belt with little experience using it in combat situations. Give him time. He's got great standup but no take-down defense, when he can defend and spend more time working from his back in combat simulation, we'll see him become a stonger force in MMA.

I agree, or even McCully fight Mir. Although Mir would have prolly ripped McCully's arm off.

yeah i believe they said he's a blue belt, so that would kinda explain why he was a little slow with some of his "moves", but a bjj black belt leaving himself that exposed for armbars and triangles is unacceptable most fans that will never set foot in the octagon could have armbarred him a couple of times
