So James Irvin was able to fight in the UFC...

Even after he lost to Lodune Sincaid.

No disrespect towards Lodune but come on. Sometimes I wonder how they decide whos invited to come back and fight in the UFC and whos not. Not just in the UFC but PRIDE as well.

Lodune should have been the one to be invited back into the UFC to fight after he defeated Irvin.

Same with Mayhem Miller. He fought and lost once in the UFC against one of the best in the world, and he isnt invited to fight in the UFC.

Some guys they give tons of chances, others they let go after one loss.

Why is that?

Irvin was asked back for 2 reasons
1) He's an exciting fighter. A few highlight reel knockouts.
2) He's a local boy. That UFC was in Sacramento and he's from around there. (this is the main reason he was asked back)
He basically paid the UFC back for their faith in him. He delivered another great KO and that fight won fight of the night IIRC.

This is true. My wife loves that bastard. She looks back and forth between the screen and my gut. Doesn't say anything, but I can feel her looking.... judging.

Goddamn you, James Irvin

Yeh, I think UFC has a propensity to bring back exciting fighters more than winning fighters.

Irvin is exciting but he's a borderline B level.

Lodune is border line B level.

Now, who do you want fighting in the UFC?

His tighty whiteys are also quite scrumptious. Too bad he kept falling over during the fight. He'll probably be fighting for the WEC soon.
