I too was extremely happy Rampage won. He has always been one of my favorite fighters. Unlike the many sherdogg nuthuggers however, I don't just automatically always expect my guy to win. I unfortunately think it could turn into a GSP title reign with Hendo being next. If Dan shows up to fight, it could turn into a helluva fight, and then there's also Shogun. But for the moment at least

I just wanted to come on here and say congrats to Rampage and give him his props.

Chuck is my favorite fighter (I have been a fan since Chuck KO'ed Randleman back in UFC31 - that fight got me back into MMA). But I have said everywhere that Rampage has the best skill set out of any fighter at 205 to beat Chuck. He is strong, a great striker (more technically sound than Chuck), great wrestler with big slams that negate Chuck's takedown defense, and a ferocious gnp guy. He just has the right skill set to beat Chuck 8 out of 10 times (that is the reason I didn't make any predictions for this fight - my heart hoped Chuck would win but my head knew better).

This isn't about Pride being better than the UFC or UFC better than Pride. It is about Rampage beating Liddell. I do want to say I still think Chuck beats Wandi, Shogun, Hendo, etc. It is just Rampage has his number.

The day before I was getting a haircut and I got onto the topic of the match and it was clear that my barber didn't have a clue about the whole situation as I heard the typical "Chuck is the best ever!" And on the topic of moving up in weight: "Chuck could knock out any heavyweight." To which one always brings up Fedor and he had no idea who that was.

I guess my point is that there are TONNES of people that I have to whip out the I told you so's to. Chuck was very gracious and sportsmanlike fortunately, I'm not bound by any code and I get to be a big jackass.

I'm really happy too though I didn't want to see either fighter lose. It was heartbreaking to see Rampage lose to Silva the 2nd time in a fight that either could have won. Rampage was always so close to being a champ, but the circumstances were never right. Now the monkey is off his back.

I 100 % agree. Rampage was always one of the better fighters. I dont know what happened against Shogun.

He has a solid chance of beating Shogun...at Pride 29 it wasnt his night even before he broke his rib Page didnt seem like he wanted to fight.

His fight against Randleman was the best IMO...he GnP'ed him so perfectly.

Im so happy for Rampage. Me and some friends were at the bar and were probably the only people rooting for page. When he won, we were all yelling and people were looking at us all pissed. I didnt care cos Rampage won.
