Silva's blackbelt is a joke?

I was really tired of hearing that Lutter's BJJ was better and that Silva's blackbelt was a joke. I'm not going to knock Lutter, he did well, but to be able to keep that triangle in place for that long against what most were proclaiming to be the next BJJ god in the UFC......

Congrats to Silva....that being said, I and I'm sure most want to see Lutter in the UFC again on a regular basis. He gave Silva some great comp, his take downs were excellent and his striking honestly didn't look to bad.

after the fact I was impressed with the card to be honest....the Edgar vs Griffin fight was Almost notice I said ALMOST exciting as the Barnetter vs Nog #1.....wow seriously what a great friggin fight!

The fact that they were claiming Lutter was Gods gift to the BJJ world is BS plain and simple. It was the UFC's way of making a fight seem competitive. They always do that. Eilers is a salty dog veteran, chuck is the best striker in the ufc, until 5 minutes later when anderson silva is, then cro cop is another 5 minutes later..bottom line is everyone knows BJ Penn has the best BJJ in UFC.

I was proud of Rogan one time during the PPV when he corrected Goldberg saying that Lutter wasnt the top level, that Marcelo Garcia was...that is the first time it think Ive ever heard Joe Rogan rightfully rank a fighter...However, I will never forget that Rogan claimed Lutter possibly had more than a 50% chance to win against Anderson...

Anderson Silva has a great BJJ background....... whatch al lof he's pride fights, he always shows exelent BJJ skills

If you watched the fight it wasnt the triangle that stopped lutter it was the sick elbows from the guard. Lutter may not be the greatest BJJ fighter but he is top notch for sure. have you ever seen anyone stay locked in a triangle for that long. Props to anderson for subbing him and props to lutter for taking the fight to him. He was winning before he got caught.

I mean what can you expect from a guy that trains BJJ like hell alongside the Nogueira bros., Allan Goes, Mario Sperry, Paulo Filho, Murilo Bustamante, Carlao Barretto and many other great ground technicians ? Why can't somebody believe that the black belt the Nogueira bros gave to Anderson isn't genuine ? Anderson was aware of his grounds limits way back when he fought Carlos Newton. He said in an interview that it was his most difficult fight because Carlos nearly caught him several times on the ground. But it was his loss against Takase that made him realise that he needed a real BJJ training.

But what rubbed me the wrong way was the people saying that Silva couldn't counter Lutter's BJJ skills... please, Anderson went to the limit against Jeremy Horn (who is way better than Lutter) and won by unanimous decision.
