Silva would beat Jones

Silva wins this. Jones has looked terrible lately, his last and only recent big win was agaisnt a much much smaller trinidad who was coming out of retirement. Jones hasn't taken punches well at all lately. Silva has a granite chin, excellent movement, pinpoint striking, fast hands and amazing power. It's not like silva is not new to boxing, he is a world class combat athlete who's greatest strength is his striking ability. Silva is in his prime.

Remember jones last three wins were all unimous decisions, one to a much smaller fighter coming out of retirement, the other two were againt no name fighters who offered little challenge. He doesn't have huge power anymore. Prior to this, jones lost 3 in a row, one a lopsided decision, and two but very brutal KO.

Jones win prior to losing the three in a row was a very disputed decision win over tarver. I scored this fight a draw when I watched it but if I had to give it to someone, it would've been tarver. Jones looked terrible.

Jones last impressive win was over John Ruiz. This was 5 years ago!

It was a Roy Jone's fight that got me interested in boxing. He is my all-time favorite boxer to watch. In his prime he was sensational. He is way past his prime. Silva is a suberb athlete with all the tools to beat jones. This is the fight that will win boxing fans over as MMA having a superior sport and show elite MMA fighters can do everything.

You people have to lose this mythic thing over boxing. Bernard Hopkins learned to box in prison and is now consider one of the best middleweights of all time, hasim Rahman started training boxing in his twenty's and went on to defeat a prime lennox lewis who was a gold medlist and many (including myself) to be the best heavyWeight of all time *note I said best, not greatest*

Give our sport and athlete's a little more credit.
