I have heard a lot of comparisons between the "boring" styles of Sean Sherk and Tim Sylvia. There is a lot of hate for both on here. I am interested to know who you guys think is the more boring: On the one hand Tim has finished guys like Ricco and Arlovski, but recently he has looked like he doesn't care about finishing the fight. While Sherk rarely finishes, he does go balls to wall the whole time. I personally respect the way he hustles his ass off. I was not bored during the Sherk Franca fight, he was taking him down at will passing his guard so easily and there were some big knees he walked through. I also believe Sherk is innocent, but whatever. What do you guys think. Who would you guys rather see on a card, Big Tim or Sean Sherk??

I think Sylvia is more boring. I know I am in the minority, but I enjoy watching Sherk b/c of his wrestling ability and cardio.

Sherk went 100% in the Franca fight and I thought it was a clinic on wrestling/scrambling.

Sylvia v. AA III was horrible as was Sylvia v. Vera

I think in comparison with the rest of their divisions that Sherk is more boring. LWs are known for fast and furious bouts, like Huerta vs Guida. I appreciate Sherk's hard work and ability to control, but compared to other LW bouts his are sometimes unbearable to watch. Sylvia can be boring too, but with the HWs I expect more long-drawn out battles.

I'd prefer to watch Sherk. And no, he's not innocent. That much muscle doesn't come from just hard work.

even if tim sylvia had was able to tko vera or ko him like he did tellingram he would still be labeled boring and would recieve hate. thats the bottom line.

Tim was good when he was roiding but without it he has no power, and shits his pants frequently.

You do realize that Sherk isn't exactly overly muscular for his size. I've known dozens of people more muscular than him who have not dabbed in steroids. Looks only indicate sterodis when you dip in to the professional bodybuilding world.

I enjoy watching Sherk fight and have never thought he was boring at all. I wouldn't call Tim boring because he has had some very exciting fights, but I just hate his personality.

But funny how both were stripped of their titles for steroids.....
