I've never understood why we even need to discuss the "anything can happen" argument. This isn't one of those situations, because it's a good, intriguing fight, but saying "anything can happen" is such a cop out argument in general. It's the same to me as constantly implying something like water will always be wet, of course it will.

Sherk can't beat BJ because of bad tactics on his part...
Lay and prey is not the way to the title!

I would agree, BJ can use his BJJ technique to be the better wrestler. His technique will hinder Sherk in the scrambles and BJ will likely wind up on top.

Juanito should retire if and only if the judges who gave Forrest round 1 retire with him.

Exactly! Any fighter CAN win. Any team CAN win. It is a silly argument.

I was pointing out to Bullit yesterday that the majority of Sherk's td's against Hughes and GSP were single leg attempts. A single leg on BJ is often going to end with BJ on top bc he can basically just fold over on top of you once he's stuffed it.

My God, I feel like this fight will never happen! I honestly feel like I've been waiting 3 years for this fight and the calendar get's longer each month.

This was what I came in to say.
As far as the rest, I'll just wait and see.

First.
We disagree about what constitutes LnP.
Second.
You not liking his style doesn't prevent him from winning, it just makes him winning unpalatable.

I agree with this aswell, he's been able to get hughes and st pierre on their back. He also was able to get stevenson down with relative ease, who's a pretty good wrestler..I've also seen him wrestling with gray on TUF 5 and he was able to take him down fairly easily as well. BJ penn's wrestling is very underrated.

Watching him against Joe Daddy, who's a pretty strong guy, I suspect his strength is a tad underrated as well.
