Blah Blah Blah - I gave the fight to Sanchez, Alessio was too passive.

It's all about aggression and octagon control. Alessio had neither of those.

Oops poster forgot about that strike landed by A. Its funny how people act like eye gouging is always on purpose. Yet when the guy they like does it nothing is said. Nice pic I didn't even catch that watching the fight.
Again to address your infantile attempt. Sanchez was deliberately eye gouging Allessio in the thrid round. There was no action going on. Just Diego eye gouging Allessio multiple times in front of big John.

Unlike your snapshot which shows how fast both gentleman were moving during the tussle. Likely the definition of an accidental eye poke. Even if Allessio did that eye poke on purpose, with his eyes closed.... I doubt big John was in position to address the issue. UNLIKE when Sanchez eye gouged multiple times during lulls at the end of the fight right in front of big John.

is it better to be on the defensive all fight and land a couple of well placed shots, or be aggressive and land a low percentage of a high number of punches? whatever your answer is gives you the winner of this fight. the fight sucked anyway and alession did not do enough to win. i hate sanchez and as soon as the fight ended i said, he didnt do enought to win. way too passive. and its true.

You have to get over this... can you see the points made by the majority of posters? Rewarding a fighter who is in constant retreat is unacceptable. If he rocked Diego instead of cutting him in the second, or if he ever appeared to be the offensive fighter, or perhaps if he held his hands in clinched fists instead of open palms, he would at least appear to be looking to strike instead of avoid the fight. He didn't. He lost, and should not fight again in the UFC for quite a while. I think Dana and his coach would chew on his ass if he had a performance like that on TUF. I do not understand the time you have put into his defense.

thats what i think. diego was def the agressor. i'd give alessio the first round, but the last 2 were clearly diego's in my eyes

I thought Alessio won the fight too.
