What exactly did Alessio do to win the fight? Even the punchtrack thing you made showed Sanchez was way the aggressor.
Sanchez threw a ton of ridiculous running punch combinations. The type of stuff that looked pathetic anywhere, but especially in the UFC. Sad stuff. Sure Diego threw a whole bunch of punches and barely landed any in the first 2 rounds. He also would throw a goofy punch everytime before he went in for a take down. The punches were merely a distraction to his opponent not an attack.

Allessio was more effective. He controlled Sanchez's offense attempts. He busted up Sanchez's face. Blah blah blah. You don't care, you're already buying tickets to wrestlemania 62.

won the fight through pure aggressiveness
I see. Throwing 55 punches and landing 3 in the first 2 rounds wins you the fight. Probably attempting 10 take downs and getting one(and losing it!) wins you the fight. Maybe attempting one submission throughout the whole fight gets you the win.... nope. Being Diego Sanchez TUF champ gets you the win.

worst fight since Severn/Shamrock!!!
Yeah, it was bad. Rewarding the loser with a win was the cherry on top.

You can't win a fight with only a jab once in a while........
You can't win a fight doing what Sanchez did more so... well not anymore.

more damage than rewarding Sanchez for at least attempting to make it a fight.
Sanchez did not. Do you call - doing nothing with back mount for 3:30 doing - something. The most vulnerable position in the sport. He has it for 3:30 and does NOTHING!

Lastly, Allessio did not run away. Diego would run across the ring throwing ridiculous punch combinations that any moron would either side step or back away from. Because Sanchez never cared if he landed any of those punches.... he just wanted to suck Allessio in so he could slide underneath and take him down. Sanchez was afraid to just go for the take down. He would rush at his opponent punching with both arms like a rock-em sock-em robot. He was just trying to find a way to get a take down with out eating the jabs that made his face a bloody mess.

Oh... The attempt to make Allesio look the eye gouger is pathetic. That picture was of a scuffle when they were going full speed and seperating. Unlike when Diego plain as day was gouging Allessio's eyes while on his back... MULTIPLE TIMES. There was nothing going on other than Sanchez gouging. It was as DELIBERATE as it gets. Unlike you're snapshot. Nice!

That is what I thought. Also, isn't the number one criteria in UFC judging, supposed to be control? I thought that Allessio in one way or another controlled much of the fight, by keeping it standing up. Now I do agree that Diego was more aggressive, but with very little effect. That being said, I still think this fight was absolutley ridiculous.

too much free time. at any rate diegoe was the aggressor. the ONLY THING ALESSIO SHOWED was that he has really good take down defense. so fuckin what? diego kept coming foward while alessio backed up and jabbed the entire time. defense only is half the battle. you have to actually have offense and be an agressor if u want to completely dominate the fight. by being over catious alession blew his chance at winning. clearly his defense was awesome but all he had to do was come out swininging. he didn't so he went home a loser. end of story.

everytime diego shot alessio would turn his back and just run. he wouldn't sprawl and didn't capitilze on anything by punching diego when he shot. all he did was run

Diego won this fight! He won by being consistently more aggressive and not running away jabbing and stuffing takedowns.

PS. People who whine "use the search function" are no life losers. The purpose of a forum is to "discuss" not review something that other people debated. Get a life loser, skip the threads you don't want to read.

All Alessio did was the equivalent of standing lay and pray. At no point did he ever attempt to win the fight by KO or submission. Unless you think you can KO or submit someone by jabbing.

I have never watched a fight that closely but having said that, I still can't justify a 30-27 score.

A: You either really hate Sanchez(who won the fight)
B: Are a retired TKD judge(at the local YMCA)
C: Are a very lonely lady
D: BJM's daughter

Either one in reality Diego won and deserved the "W".
Allessio did not show the desire to make it a fight so because of that Im glad he lost.If the judges were to give Allessio the nod what would it say about fighters, they can run away and get the victory.
All this is my opinion and did not mean to come across as being an jerk,I was only "trying" to be funny.

This isn't the first occurence either. Just the most obvious attempt to propel a TUFer. I assume most sherdogers have been supporting UFC and MMA for a while. So it's disturbing to see the very fans, whom are almost the caretakers of the sport, turn their backs and not hold people accountable. Instead they seem to be happier to go with the flow. It's no suprise Dana White wants to be Vince McMahon. But I thought the fans would be a different story.

Anyone who tries to claim Sanchez won the fight is dead wrong. I am glad the fans in attendence realized the fight was BS.

Eddie Bravo explained it to a T when explained his score card. "The fight to me turned out perfectly. I think Diego edged out a victory". Perfectly?

Aside from the judges mockery, I am amazed Sanchez was allowed to eye gouge Allesio/hold on to the fence for 5 seconds in order to maitain his mount and escape an arm bar. I am just as amazed Sanchez was allowed to keep his mount for 3:30 without ever once trying to advance his position. He only threw punches to escape from arm bars. ONE rear naked trigg attempt within the last minute despite 3:30 with back mount? Allessio was giving Sanchez an arm bar with one hand, punching him in the face with the other and holding up their weight. What?

For those who want to attempt their BS propaganda, here is an in depth account of the fight. It doesn't do justice to the fact that Allessio was going in for the kill in the 3rd round, only to have Sanchez piggy back ride his way to a predetermined victory.

28% accuracy for D's strikes
31% accuracy for A's strikes
you sure wrote allot! I still think A did nothing to win the fight. In the entire fight (yes he stopped the take downs) thats all really, D was the more aggresive one who was comming forward and scoring points, and plus the jumping on the back even though you might not of liked it, it scored points in the end. I was not the best fight eva but the end result should of stood I think.
