i see it in every other thread, it seems.

look at silva/lutter - fans cheered lutters take downs, silva's escapes, lutters passing guard and the triangle

look at griffin/edgar - not a lot of fans on the building, but they cheered the whole time.

look at cote/smith - lots of booing. you mean to tell me that a good take down wouldnt have been cheered?

the booing has nothing to do with whether a fight is standing or not, it has to do with inactivity and the live crowd is very impatient. that's not to say that it isn't a problem, its just that most of you have it 100% wrong.

You're probably right. UFC fans are getting more educated in submissions and GnP but they are still behind a lot of international fans.

you may have noticed that this is a forum dedicated to only 2 orgs. you have have also noticed that discussion of one org in particular tends to dominate the discussion.

I think the casual UFC fan realizes that there is more to MMA than just knockouts. My feeling is that if you want to see only KO's on the feet and nothing else, go watch boxing.

If UFC fans only liked standing KO's why in the fuck would they love Tito so much? I mean all he does is take people down and drop short elbows.
