Sakakibara Interview: The Day Before His Last Event, PRIDE.34
Sakakibara interview at a Tokyo hotel, the day before PRIDE.34:

My frame of mind hasn't changed from before. I simply want the event to go on without problems. However, without thinking that this is the last event, I would have liked to have one or two more fights to spice up the card. Managing the event, we've been preparing to the end until we are satisfied, but I feel there's not much more we can ask of the event <?>. However, in my experience, even with proper preparation, there's been times that the event we put on for the fans ended up not being as good as we had anticipated, perhaps scoring about a 60. Conversely, there's been times that the energy of the fans, fighters, and staff was aligned, making for an event that was better than a 100. I hope that we can pull off an event that truly represents PRIDE tomorrow. Besides, this event doesn't signify the end and we are doing our best to surprise everyone. In regard to the new company, at this point issues such as the designation of the new representative hasn't been decided. I will be discussing with Lorenzo. The preparations to establish the new company are done. The final steps include how to deal with the executives. In order for the staff to progress smoothly within the new setup, I would like to cooperate with Lorenzo behind the scenes.

We may see a bunch of past and present fighters gather in the ring during the intermission to honor and thank Sakakibara. I think that would be a nice touch.

Thanks for the read sir, I hope they put together a real great show, even if they don't have the best fighters.
Pride in Japan is really a great experience, even if your watching the PPV replay.

People were saying PRIDE 33 sucked on paper as well. After PRIDE 34, the promotion is dead.
