Now in my opinion, both Big Nog and Saku have taken some of the most brutal beatings in all of MMA. Think about all the wars that both of them have been through.
First, Saku. Remember what he looked liked after fighting Arona, he looked almost disfigured. Cro Cop broke one of his eye sockets, Silva brutalized him several times, Schembri soccer kicked the hell out of him, and Akiyama cheated and punched him on the head several times. Worst of all, Saku is known for not checking in with the Doctors to have his injuries examined.
Now watching Big Nog fight Fedor was just brutal. Fedor dominated Nog and beat the hell out of him for 5 and a half rounds (2 fights). Big Nog took some of the worst GnP beating in their 1st fight I have ever seen. His body turned black and purple due to kicks from from Cro Cop, Bob Sapp violently slammed his head on the mat, and Herring almost knocked him out with the most brutal kick that Nog has ever taken in his career.
Take this into consideration, I remember in 2001 while I was living in Australia, I watched in the news about a former professional soccer player in England who died by the age of 50. Doctors believe that the reason he died fairly young was because he used his head too many times to score goals (no kidding) which caused severe trauma in his head
So it really is unfortunate to say this, and I hope that I am wrong, but maybe Saku and Big Nog have lost years of their lives due to the brutal beatings that they have sustained. Think about all the brutal shots that both of them have received and wonder how those shots have affected their heads and caused brain trauma.

I know mma is not boxing and mma fighters do not get hit on the head/face area as much as boxers, but saku and Nog have taken some of the worst shots in all of mma
i don't know the average life span of an MMA fighter but you have to give credit to these 2 particular fighters. They both know that they have sustained severe injuries and probably know that they are cutting their lives short by several years, yet they keep on fighting for their country, for their fans and for their own competitive greatness. I hope they live a ripe old age but realistically their sacrifice means that they might not even reach the age of 65.
I hope that I am wrong and they live on to be healthy until their nineties.
War Big Nog
War Saku
