Rutten vs Rickson?

Bas really wants to fight the Grand champion of the Gracie family (Rickson). Bas told the WFA who he would prefer to fight. The WFA told Bas that Rickson is too expensive. Does anyone know how much Rickson demands per fight? I would think if the WFA pays Rickson they would create enough buzz and support from the MMA community to make their money back and some. All, they would have to do is market the promotion properly. I would think a fight of this magnitude would make the WFA a real player against the UFC & PRIDE. Give me some feedback.

I think Rickson asks for more than a million to fight. Wfa won't pay for that after their lackluster first event.

How would they get their money back?

Casual fans (Which make up 75% of the PPV buyers market) would have no fucking clue who Rickson is.
The WFA can't afford national TV ads, how are they going to afford $1 million for a fighter who will get no exposure because all of thier advertising dollars went into their main event's pocket?

Bad for buisness and just a bad idea in general. Dumb dumb dumb.

I recall Rickson wanted like $1.5million to fight Wandy. So i guess it would be around the same fighting Bas. Rickson knows he will lose just like Royce got bummed by Matt. So he wants a big pay day for losing

Added to the fact that Rickson is 48 now. The ship has sailed for Rickson to fight anyone ever again, sorry but I just don't see it ever happening.

Doesn't make sense at all. Rickson is overrated, boring and old. And those aren't even the reasons it doesn't make sense. All the previously posted reason are.

Yeah, Bas would destroy him...this would be funny to watch. Guys like the Gracies of the fighting world need to brought down to earth...the sport has changed and they remained the same. See Hughes made changes and evolved, and it was clear when he easily beat Royce.
