dude do you even train in striking at all ?

you are the one who is ridiculous just for this (So Fedor is also better at striking ? )

i can understand why you would think Silva is a better standup fighter than Nog , but not Fedor

striking = boxing/kicks and knees .

Fedor has better and stronger punches/kicks and ALOT better technique , Fedor would just crush Silva at striking , and thats a fact !

about the Nog thing , read my post again cuz i have already said it once .

and dude , plz take your vote and shove it .
You don't have to train striking to recognize when something is "better". Silva is a better standup fighter than Fujita, but I guess I don't have the ability to recognize this because I don't train in MT. What logic you got going for you there.

On to Fedor, I can't believe that someone has actually forced me to bag on Fedor, but I will do so to prove a point. Fedor does not have good knees and they don't compare to Silva's. Fedor has some decent kicks but does them once in a blue moon. His boxing is not nearly as technically advanced as you like to claim. He does not throw "straight punches" he throws hooks just like Silva. His power for his weight division also can't be considered as good as Silva's. There is no doubt that Fedor hits hard, but to act like he is the hardest hitting guy or hits harder than Silva for his division is unwarrented. Look what one punch from Silva did to Rampage, it re-aligned his face. Fedor has never done anything close to what Silva did to rampage in just one punch.

So as you summed it up striking=Punching(not boxing), knees, kicks. you also left out stomps, and elbows(body only in pride). Silva is better THAT IS A FACT.

Nuthugging at its finest, that would be like me saying that Silva could out wrestle couture because he stuffed several takedowns from arona. See how ridiculous that sounds?

The facts are Fedor is a more complete fighter than Silva, but Silva is a better and more complete striker than Fedor.

Yeah he might get him down once or twice, but I don't see him holding him down for to long or subbing him, like Nog did to CC. The fight will be kept mostly standing and it's wide-open who wins.

This is a terrible argument for Silva's striking superiority. Your knockout ratio isn't equivalent to your striking skill. By that same logic, Wand is a better striker than Fedor, since Fedor only has 6 TKO's out his 23 wins. I dare you to say Silva would come out on top of Fedor in a K1 style match.
So then wouldn't it be terrible reasoning to say that Nog is better at subs than Silva because out of Nogs 26 wins 17 are subs. Out of Silvas 30 wins only 4 are by sub. Same logic just used differently. In a K-1 match Silva just might, it would be unfair due to the fact that he is a MW/LHW but he could do it none the less.

I think he'd have a better chance against nog than against Arona. Silva's weakness is wrestlers who just keep taking him down. He has better wrestling than Nog.

knockout ratio may not be equivalent to your striking skill but it is certainly highly related.

Yet so many TKO's may indicate a one dimensional fighter since a KO/TKO isn't the only way to end a fight in MMA.

Wand did not express any desire to fight Lil Nog quite the contrary in fact.

So why the f*ck would he want to tangle with Big Nog.

Let the man win a fight at light heavy before he starts thinking about a heavyweight title shot.

And then he can have Timmeh as a warm up fight.

I think he has some point. Wand's problem is that he doesn't really have an offensive bjj game, so on his back he doesn't have a lot of options. But he has plenty of defensive potential to avoid getting subbed, Nog lacks the power to KO Wand and Wand has the resilience to sustain any damage Nog does because of Nog's reach and better boxing. But then again Nog is durable as well, but I think he has problems with aggressive fighters. So it might turn out a great fight. Wand might not be a great HW and might lose to most top guys, but even a great HW might find that his greatest threat might be a fighter from a different weight class.
