Roger Huerta vs Kenny Florian

Huerta and Florian are going to fight August 9th in Minnesota, Huertas home town. This should be a great fight to see who gets the next shot at the belt. I think Florian is going to have a hard time with the pace Huerta will set and his wrestling ability. Also for those of you who dont know Huerta has been training with Kru Phil Nurse (GSP Muay Thai coach). Your thoughts on the fight?

I'm not one of these Huerta haters but I just don't see him winning this fight. Kenny's too good.

I really like both fighters but I see Florian winning this one. I honestly think that he wants it more than anybody right now.

Florian has faced tougher competition than Huerta

Huerta has taken the easiest road to the title

Florian will end this Huerta hype!!

The announcement of this fight was music to my ears

from the first fight i saw huerta have in the UFC i ws wondering why Goldberg was acting like this kid was so great!!

since then i've seen this kid get fed marketed like hell and fed mediocre competition such as Dent, Crane, Garcia etc... guys that most decent UFC lw's would beat whilst other upper-level UFC lw's have been facing tough competition but ain't been recieving half the love

i feel so patronised when the UFC feed a guy cans and then try to convince us he's so great, I fell for it once with Mir and i won't do it again!!

lets face it guys Huerta's biggest win in the UFC is aginst Guida who was 2-2 before that fight anyways!!

so in my opinion El Matador is gonna get a reality check when he faces real competition in Florian who will dominate him on the feet and on the ground, Huerta's wrestling and fast pace will not be enough to wear Kenny down and his sloppy style will leave him open on the feet and on the ground

i will be surprised if Ken takes more thn 2 rounds to finish this fight as the truth is Huerta is a good fighter but at this stage he is no better than Tyson, Edgar, Lauzon, Maynard, Danzig etc all guys who would probably beat him just like Kenny will and thts why UFC avoided giving him those guys

No 1 contender???? i don't think so lol

if Zuffa want to catch the latin/hispanic market they'll be better off sticking with Diego Sanchez!!!

Kenny is definitely the more seasoned of the two. But Roger is constantly improving every time I see him fight. Plus he started training some with GSP. That's going to help him with his grappling. I'd say Huerta will take this fight, it will be a good one though.

I might end up having to eat my words....but I think KenFlo just may submit Huerta.

But here's the thing...I'm really interested in how the betting odds (money-line) will come out on this fight because if for some reason there's big spread, it's probably well worth it to bank on the betting-odds-underdog on this one.

I've liked Huerta since day 1. He has natural ability, he's entertaining, and he's skilled. I don't think he should be getting a title shot by beating Florian yet, though, but neither does Florian deserve a title shot either.

Edgar and Griffin are still more worthy.
