Give me a fucking break, all her shit has always been weak and she's just as dumb as most of the other "journalists" that out of nowhere flooded MMA when it started flourishing.
But I mean, how the fuck do you have "srs bidness" sources and write a front page article claiming that a (true) veteran fighter has been found with METH both on him, and in his system... quite the fucking mad reputation ruiner... and then... "O WAIT GUYZ NVRM IT WAS POT LULZ SILLY O US, WE HAVE SRS BIDNESS SOURCES THO>>SRSLY".
really? fucking jokes... no fucking wonder you don't get any journalistic cred...
it's too bad because i'm sure this retardation would've been avoided should they have hired that editor that they were planning at first (instead of loretta hunt)... I forgot his name already (sadly) but I remember there being this huge fuss where he was hired for like two weeks, leaving his job (as an actual editor in the real world out there, instead of fan boy amateur shit) and then getting fucked over by getting replaced out of nowhere ...
Either way, props to loretta! Keep up the good rep!

that's a pretty big mistake lol... i feel for kimo... his rep took a serious beating on that mistake...
hey can anyone answer some questions for me.
1. how long do dubs last?
2. seems i can't access a LOT of stuff like OT and the war room and i can't even pm so i can't ask a freaking mod to explain all this stuff, and i didn't see any real explainations in FAQ.

i agree with everything you said. i think most people, other than those that buy into the anti-dana hype, would have to agree, indeed.

C'mon guys! The sources were erroneous! If the same thing had happened to Tom Cruise every website, magazine, and newspaper would have reported his meth abuse only to apologize later.

an official apology to kimo would be nice though, who the fuck wants to be labeled as a fucking meth head?
there's a HUGE difference between meth and pot, i would really be pissed if i was in his position.

you jackass, when you are a journalist you have to dig deep into information to make sure what you are not hearing is a lie. a journalist makes his or her job nothing but being as nosy as they can be about whatever subject they are going to be writing about.
to say 'COME ON GUISE IT WAS A ERROR' is just god damn stupid. whoever the dumb ass is that wrote that original article rightfully SHOULD get a lot of criticism for being such a retard.
but hey, if all journalists posted ERRONEOUS reports, such as you say, due to false information or whatever the case it, we'd all be living in a world of fake information. it'd be like waking up and watching the onion on tv. you are a shithead. plain and simple.

Yeah i forgot about that...
That sort of makes it even worse, assuming the guy properly detoxed and hasn't done it since...
I mean yeah doing that shit is a mistake, but being profiled (or at least falsely accused) as an addict (after quitting) is probably one of the worst low blows a person can use.

It wasn't just Sherdog who reported it was meth. Just do a google search. Many other sites reported the same thing, and according to Sherdog's correction, the article was based on information obtained from the police, which pretty much all journalists would consider a legitimate source. Since you think Sherdog is so bad, where else do you get MMA news that is better?
By the way, Sherdog is the only site I've seen so far to issue a correction, so props to them.

If you didn't realise this is an MMA forum, not a sherdog nut hugging forum.
I'm bashing the site's journalistic incompetence, not the forums. If i hated the forums half as much as the news side of the site I would not be here.
Which is exactly why I read other sites for news, and randomly peek at sherdog's front page every now and then.
However I do use the forums as it's pretty much one of the most active MMA forum at the moment.
You on the other hand have no reason to reply in this topic if you aren't happy with it, and are welcome to take YOUR shit elsewhere.

Really irresponsible on Sherdog's part.
If they could fuck up the facts in a story like Kimo's arrest, then how far fetched is it that they were full of shit about the "UFC limiting Manager access to fighter's backstage" story...especially when Hunt cited "anonymous sources."
|
Yep exactly dude, i'm not saying that in that particular case they were full of shit as well, but if their "solid" sources are THAT good, i can only imagine how good their "anonymous" ones are.
