Rewatching UFC 26 right now, and Jens Pulver . . .

won the first fight, vs. Joao Roque. I love Jens, but really, he didn't deserve that win.

Roque tried several times to take him down, and Jens defended well to stay on his feet. But he never did anything from there. No punches, kicks, clenches, nothing.

Roque pushed the action and was the aggressor throughout. It was frustrating for him, as he really wanted the fight to go down to the ground. But every time there was a scramble and he ended up on his back, Jens would just stand up and Mario Yamasaki would stand Roque up.

I've never seen the fight, but unsucessful TD attempts dont count for points, and if Jens was actually putting him on his back (even in a scramble) and neither threw a single punch, you gotta give it to Jens.

But like I said, I haven't seen the fight

Just curious, where did you get the tape? 26 is one of the ones I've really wanted to find.

Was Pulver the coach on the last Ultimate Fighter or am I thinking of someone else?
