Renato Verissimo Vs Matt hughes??

Hey guys i recently watched this fight bout a couple of months ago.
I was wondering did you guys agree with the decision?
Renato was probably more worn out at the end but he had sunk in many submissions and at one time when hughes was escaping one of them it looked like he was taping out.
Because a fighters scores if he strikes a fighter and it gets through, so a grappler had the submissions in to he should have scored.
Although it was a good fight im a fan of both.
Its a shame that renato has not fared better in the world of mma.
What are your thoughts on the fight?

Yeah, Charuto should have won, but it was close and Matt was already the champ so....

The judges didn't understand the sport very well back then.

He has a glass chin, so Charuto can never make it in MMA, too bad, he's very talented.

close, decision was somewhat debatable, but would have been alot more so if charuto won.

1. Hughes got lucky as shit

2. Hughes did absolutely nothing at all to Charuto...Charuto's guard nulified him

3. Hughes showed he had heart in the fight from not tapping....he didnt tap..at the end (or maybe in an interview) he said that "i decided i was going to just work till i got out, or passed out"

4. Technically Hughes won due to takedowns

5. I hate UFC scoring

Matt was lucky it even went to a decision. Verissimo had a very tight triangle and matt just got lucky and fell out the back right before he went to sleep.

I also thought Charuto won, but UFC judges don't understand MMA. I don't blame them, I blame the system of Athletic Commissions that don't train judges in the different disciplines. All the judges see is who is on top.

Very close fight and could have gone either way, but you always have to beat the champ convincingly(sp) Alot of people are upset with the decison, but so many more would be if Hughes lost.

It was really close, you could make a case to give it to either.

Yeah I thought he won as well and remember being confused when Rogan said it was gonna be extremely close at the end. Charuto did nothing in the last round but Matt definatly did not do enough to win that fight in the 3rd.
