lesnar might as well served his ankle to mir on a silver platter with all the trimmings. that's not happening again.

Don't get me wrong I think Lesnar is a beast and if he plays is cards right in a few years he could be boarderline unbeatable, but until he shows that he can hang with a top tier grappler he will always have the Mir loss hanging over is head.

Gonzaga taking Lesnar down? With what, a forklift?

So where I think you are wrong is in your estimation that Lesnar "knocked Mir down".
Mir, like many BJJ guys, have exactly the plan of taking a hit and laying down. I have watched the hit that supposedly put Mir down and I'm 100% certain that Mir wasn't hit anywhere near as hard as you think he was and Mir actually lifted both of his feet off the matt on purpose to look like he was knocked down.
Mir will pull gaurd or do whatever he has to do to get it to the ground. So would Nog or Werdum, for that matter. It would obviously be in Lesnar's best interest to keep it standing with Mir.
Secondly, there is a complete misconception that Lesnar "almost won" with Mir. Not even close. Mir took almost no real damage in that fight. He had scratches on his face that may have looked brutal, but he got up and jogged around the ring after the fight and was completely clear-headed throughout, even during the ref stoppage. He covered his face well, tucked in correctly to minimize Lesnar's damage and in many respects played that fight exactly the way he needed to.
Lesnar has definitely improved. I would go so far as to argue he's completely deserving of wearing the belt right now and is easily top 3 with Mir and Nog in the UFC's incredibly weak HW division.
But no, I don't believe Lesnar would just walk through Mir in a rematch. In fact, Lesnar's confidence that he can now defend submissions really well could very easily lead him to "pounce" on a supposedly injured Mir and get himself right back into a submission contest with a top notch BJJ guy on the ground once again.
Guys much larger and stronger than Lesnar have been submitted. BJJ is specifically designed for exactly this reason.

Your strange obsession with this cock-chested man never ceases to amaze me, "Boss".
The seemingly endless flow of new threads and Lesnar support posts in every other thread started since Brock entered the sport is quite impressive.
He probably will beat Mir...who knows. Mir is a pretty average HW fighter for the most part. I just don't get the obsession with Lesnar.
