Sherk only has 7 fights in the UFC and is 5-2. Only 3 of the 5 wins are against guys that would even crack a top 10 list at LW and they are decisions resulting from a Lay n Pray style - taking people down, having good top control, but not being able to do much else.

If Sherk couldn't finish Diaz, Franca, or Florian, he will not be able to finish BJ. BJ's recent wins over Pulver and Stevenson, in dominating fashion, are more impressive than anything Sherk has accomplished.

Sherk's only chance is to take BJ down and hold him down for 5 rounds. I just don't see Sherk being able to hold BJ down. GSP couldn't do it, Hughes couldn't do it, hell Randy can't even do it in training

I thought this might throw some new light on the negative points people have made about BJ's fight record (especially in the last couple years), but I guess not.

I hate Sherk's style. All he does is get someone down, and then change positions to keep it from being stood up, all while making no fucking effort at all to finish the fight, or even damage his opponent.

Sherk must really suck, he's lost TWICE, once to GSP and once to Hughes.

I totally agree...

Sherk is an IMPRESSIVE Wrestler but that is it. I thought looking at his physique it was QUITE obvious that he was on the "Juice".

As Ive said before, Joe Stevenson is known as a MONSTER at take downs and HARD TO STOP.. Bj DOMINATED him so I think he will do the SAME to Sherk..

I disagree about Sherk's resume being unimpressive, but I don't think his record or anything else going to do him any good against BJ.

Sherk's good at what he does. I never said he sucked. It's just that there has been so much talk discrediting BJ's record and downplaying his wins over Pulver and Stevenson.

The way I see it, BJ finishing Pulver and Big Daddy in dominating fashion, is more impressive than Sherk's 3 Decision victories over fighters of the same caliber.
