The reason why Shogun is a very tough...

Fight for any one especially for Chuck; it's his unorthodox style, he combines striking and kicking almost at the same time. If that doesn't work , he switches to take downs and submissions automatically. It's like he programed his mind to systematically find his opponent weakness and exploit them immediately.

That's why i believe that he can beat anyone in the LHW division.

Basically, he goes with the flow and he is not stubborn, that attitude will keep him on top of his game.

Thoughts?

I really like his style, it's very unorthodox and he keeps pushing the pace all the time. One of the most entertaining fighters on the planet, definetly...

i agree i also believe that any of the top tier 205ers chuck shogun wandy arona can beat eachother on any given night but your right one reason shogun is great is his ability to adapt to find fighters weaknesses and press his gameplan to a tee....he is without a doubt one of the most well rounded if not the most well rounded in the division

Now that face stomps are getting removed. Shogun wont be half the fighter he was before the rule change. Face stomps were a vital part to his game plan. Without it, he wont be nearly as successful

You should remove the characteristic of intellect from your name.

He also has good game plans. He said he copied Fedor's game plan against Rodrigo Nogueira to fight against his brother Rogerio Nogueira

And here I thought the reason was because Shogun is an awsome well rounded fighter. Stupid me.

And for the ones acclaiming all of Shogun´s power to headkicks/stomps on the ground..... get real. Shogun is very well rounded and while he uses those elements in every fight he´s allowed he also have good hands, good kicks, good knees (in clinch even), good groundgame and a good flow of everything.

It´s not as it was with Coleman. He DID become way worse of a fighter once they removed headbutts, because that was by far his best weapon. But on the other hand Mark doesnt have to many weapons in his arsenal, so every loss counts - while Shogun is widely considered extreemly well rounded and can take the loss of a weapon or two.
