The REAL reason fans boo lately...

As alot of people have been posting about, and as I have personally noticed myself. Their has been a sharp increase in fans booing at the live shows especialy in the USA, and fans cutting up fighters they personally don't like on the msg boards which always causes a nice ripple....And I think I may have some insite into this...I may be crazy...But I just smoked a huge phatty and shit comes to me when I do that...Here goes...

There has been this huge new influx of fans to this sport mostly due to the TUF shows and the awsome shit Spike and others like Xyience has been doing to promote...Now these new fans just didn't appear out of know where...They had to come from somewhere right?...What would happen if ohh say the UFC got real popular in the same market "the U.S.A" that say there was another type of promotion in that area doing similar shit...Namely the WWE...All of a sudden all of these hardcore WWE fans find out that REAL fighting is available after all this time!...OH MY GOD! Right!...SO they all jump from the Saturday Morning Cartoon land of the WWE where they have learned to cheer and geer on command by Vince McMahan for all these years and generally talk smack and shit....And they land smack dab in our secret little playground of Respectable MMA...Where we have spent years learning to understand and respect the fine art of fighting and we admire the fluid beauty of it all.....We watch our matches like we are watching Chess Champions meticulousley try to out match their challenger multiple moves ahead of time .... And....CLASH!!!....Fans collide...

I say it is going to take some time for these people to adjust...And flaming them for comments that we find offensive as MMA fans, Maybe is wrong...Maybe we should help them understand what it is that they should be looking for when they watch our beloved MMA and help these people understand the essence of combat, the finer points, the little things... Rather than loosing our cool and calling them names...I mean...How are they ever going to learn this sport if we the people who have been here these years don't help them?...It is up to us to help others understand our sport...We have been pushing for main stream for as long as I can remember...And now that we are getting some main stream attention we are not prepared for it and are fighting the very fans off whom we fought so hard to get here in the first place.....

And let me be the first to point out...We are still NOT mainstream....This is just the tip of the iceberg guys...It is going to get much worse before it gets better...Unless we take steps now to help these new fans understand this shit we could be in for a bumpy ride for a bit until they catch up on their own...

And if Sherdog Forums are having trouble handling 3 or 4 thousand simultaneous users...They better smarten up and buy some servers, cause main stream is on its way...And that could mean like hundreds of thousands of users....Can you say CRASH Sherdog admins???

It's just Americans are different that's all.

I think it's just fun to boo, have a good time. But there is a right and a wrong time to boo. I think the uneducated fans boo at the wrong times.

New MMA fans have no Respect for the ground game.... Stale-mates don't sell tickets unless you are in Japan or Abu Dhabi.....

Even in a stalemate situation, I just sit back and observe the techniques and strategies, maybe imagining what one fighter should do etc...

I'd never boo unless it's like a repeated foul or something bad.

It's pretty rude and ahem... insensitive...
