Rashad's first professional loss as an MMA figher

What happens when an undefeated fighter that can sometimes give up a round or even two comes up against an opponent they cannot put away as easily and has big KO power too?

KTFO or Unanimous Decision loss.

I think this fight could be a toss up, but I'll go with Rampage by TKO. Seems like just a bad matchup for Rashad even if Rashad can beat any other Light Heavyweight on the planet, I don't see him beating Quinton.

This is not hating Rashad, it's just pointing out that the guy has at times given up a round and recently two rounds in his last fight until getting the finish. Nothing wrong with this as long as you win, but when you go against an iron chinned huge KO MMA boxer and really strong wrestler like Rampage, this seems like the best matchup to give you your first loss when you're a fighter like Rashad.

I think Rampage will either TKO him (not spectacularly, more from fatigue in later rounds) or win a unanimous decision over him.

Yeah, I see the same thing. Props to Rashad for getting to where he is today though. That takes more than luck. This should be a great fight either way. To be honest, I can say Rampage has a great chin and that Rashad has a good chin, but not sure if there's anything out there that leads me to believe that Rashad can take one flush on the chin from Rampage either.

I don't think Rashad will retire undefeated... so, no big surprise when he does eventually lose.

Rampage will be his biggest test yet, definitely. I wouldn't count him out just yet, though.

I honestly thought Hendo was on the verge of being TKO'd due to fatigue at the very end of round 5 during his fight with Rampage had the fight been a couple minutes longer. What do you think?

Agreed, I think Rampage just does everything a bit better than Rashad. Having said that (and I'm a big Rampage fan) Rashad has really grown on me over his last few fights. He's become a very accomplished fighter.

rashad surprised everybody in the chuck fight, also in the fight against griffin, his improvements are huge, and i think he continues that...

rashad shows that everything is possible for him, so i go for rashad, but it would not surprised me, when he lost, honestly.

i give that fight 50:50, but not for rashads instantaneous skills, but for his quickly improvements.

I thought the same thing. It's funny because in Rampage's interviews he talks about how much he hates cardio training. And in the build up to the Silva fight the only vidoes floating around the net were of him and the Wolfslair guys drinking and playing pranks on each other - obvioulsy he still finds enough time to trian - because he is very durable.

Exactly, even if Rashad does lose, you have to admit he does improve quickly and ought to pose a great threat of claiming his title back.

Rashad is in a camp that has all the benefits, he has a guy in Jardine who had fought forrest, invaluable experience, he has a great game planner and trainer in greg jackson... But i still feel he relies on his opponents to make a mistake, rather then forcing them 2...

Rampage will stand with him and not allow rashad to read his rhythm, also his striking defence is excellent wrestling wise they quite close and strengthwise i'd give to Rampage, so i would think this would be a bad style fight for rashad if he does what he has in his past 2 fights...

A guy like machida(Although i'll probably get flack for this) would be a nightmare for rashad, and probably not much of a spectacle as neither fighter engage all 2 willingly both would bide their time waiting for an opening, i feel rashad would struggle to take machida down and would struggle to land a haymaker and in the end a UD for machida...
