Rampage still top ten p4p?

How can you be in the top 10 pfp when you can barely beat 185lb'ers?

Yoon Dong Sik took him to a decission

Bustamonte split decission

Ninja outfought him and everyone knows he should have won

Dan Henderson took him to a decission

Matt Lindland who isn't even big for 185 took him to a split decission

Does this sound like a top ten pfp's resume?

His 205lb resume isn't so great either. Other than Chuck Liddell the only thing Rampage has ever done against someone his own size was against Arona when he got caught in a triangle choke and then slammed/headbutted Arona and he wasn't looking impressive before that point either. (We'll never know whether the slam without the headbut would have finished him) and this was over 4 years ago.

He just lost to a guy who wasn't even top 20 pfp.

I'm not a rampage hater, I had no problem with him being #1 in the lhw division after beating chuck and henderson.

I'd have to think about who I would want to replace rampage with.

The thing with Rampage is, he's got the potential to be one of the most dominant fighters at his weight. But he relies on only fine tuning his strengths and not focusing on his weaknesses. He's got a hard head and good hands. He's got good counter wrestling. And that is what he trains to do..period.

He doesn't bother getting good at BJJ, expanding his striking game or training with a better camp. He also isn't 100% focused on being in shape all the time. Too bad. Worse than loosing is seeing wasted talent. Look how far he's got just doing what he's doing. If he got with a tough camp and grew, the guy would be an insane fighter.

lol... don't discount Forrest so much.. the guy's bigger than Brandon Vera and still fighting at LHW. He's a perfect example of why the weigh ins need to be much closed to the fight... that being said, Forrest has loads of cardio and has a pretty well rounded game.

Quinton pretty much won the fight in the first but then couldn't capitalize on it... that's what happens and as the fight went on, Forrest had a better chance of winning. I do think that Quinton won the fight, especially considering that the 1st round clearly should have been 10-8. Also, to take a Champ's belt, I am a believer that you have to CLEARLY win.

That is ridiculous. He landed one shot, and Forrest immediately neutralized him on the ground. I am unsure as to whether it would have been a 10-9 for either fighter. Rampage only landed one punch, and Forrest recovered immediately. 10-8 is crazy...
